I’ve been a loyal customer of this app for 2 years and I’m a level 125+ . I’ve downloaded every DLC since it started and this latest one is wildly disappointing. It claims to be all new content, but it’s absolutely not. Same songs,
same workouts, it even says I’ve done it before with a previous score given. Someone else mentioned the gloves and pad look the same as the January one, and they’re exactly right. Bring back the monthly challenge pass and stop being lazy with the DLCs. Come on, we deserve better.
I started using this as part of my fitness journey I bought the x5 bundle, it had been working fine for 6 weeks, now the game menu loads but when you choose a workout it fails to load,
I have uninstalled it and shut it down then redownloaded and reinstalled and it still won’t load. Genuinely gutted the last two workouts over the last two days I have spent trying to solve the problem.
I'm generally very satisfied with the app itself – I train regularly and it's actually quite fun. However, the marketing is absolutely awful and feels like a total rip-off.
I bought the base app and the previous DLCs. Back then, there were also monthly challenges included in the base app. Now the new DLC Never Surrender has been released, and suddenly there are no more challenges in the base app. To my surprise, I’ve noticed that the challenges which used to be part of the base app are now listed as paid content in the "new" DLC.
Even worse – and this is downright outrageous – some training sessions that were previously available with the already purchased content are now locked and rebranded with a new background as "Never Surrender" trainings. Apparently, I’m supposed to pay for them again. You can’t be serious! With this "new" DLC, the developer is removing content users previously had access to and trying to sell us the exact same thing again with a slight makeover!
Dear development team, I’m not going to pay for content twice! At best, this is a rip-off, at worst, it's plain fraud. You can now either unlock the locked training sessions for me again – I don’t even need the new background – or give me access to Never Surrender at no extra charge. But this is absolutely unacceptable.
Update: The Odderslab customer service reacted promptly and professionally, explained the situation and we found a satisfying solution.
I'm getting back into this after too long an absence. It's nice to see all the improvements that have been added while I was gone.
My favorite new feature is MR support. I rarely use MR but in this app it's a great safety feature. Before I was nervous about using it around other people so I'd go into a locked room to eliminate the risk of accidentally punching someone carelessly walking past me, (this almost happened once).
Now with MR I can use it anywhere in the house.
The MR is well implemented visually. The targets even cast light on the carpet.
I wish you could drag the menu panel closer so it's not floating through the wall. Also while in MR there are jarring transitions back to VR during loading. Hopefully future updates address this.
The best workout on Quest keeps getting better.
Original Review:
This is by far the best workout on Quest. Sorry FitXR, you’ve been KO’d by a better opponent.
It's like FitXR with more moves and better graphics and presentation. The knee strike system is very clever and a great addition to VR workouts.
It has lots of workouts and an interesting multiplayer mode where you see other players while loading the level, then chase their scores during the workout.
VR exercise doesn’t get any better than this.
I bought this on sale and finally got around to trying it. This is one of the worst apps yet. Hit markers miss when you extend and did an intense workout for my first workout and heart rate only got to 127 after 26 minutes.
If you want a good workout app just subscribe to Supernatural it has by far been the best one out there. I will not and do not recommend this at all for anyone.
A thirty dollar game full of micro transactions and yet there is no way to align my play space. There is no reason I should be floating a foot off the ground with no way to fix it.
