Max's Story is an action adventure game with a complex gameplay style. In the middle of the apocalypse, your mission is to reach the capital. You'll have to survive the hordes of bloodthirsty zombies, solve a variety of logic puzzles, or defeat the zombies attacking the capital.
The game basically offers a casual single player experience, with a simple crafting system, a variety of weapons, buildable turrets on certain maps, and locks that can be opened with logic puzzles.
There are no microtransactions, no ads, no need for internet connection, just you and the zombies. Good luck!

EDIT: The game still crashes, but it's possible that it's a headset issue. Thanks to the developer for his help and quick response in guiding me through some of the game's pitfalls. Even though zombie shooters aren't my typical genre and I bought the game because it was on sale, I was pleasantly surprised and I'm enjoying it. It's not just another zombie shooting game, but it has a story, you have to collect materials to craft items and solve various puzzles. The only minor downside is that you have to go through the entire level without the option to save. But overall, I rate it as one of the best zombie games.-------
The game would be great, but it's unplayable due to repeated crashes. And there are other problems. There's no way to adjust the movement speed, you can't approach things slowly and smoothly, sometimes it's hard to pick up objects from the ground, you have to bend down to get to them. A hint would help with some puzzles, I couldn't figure out how to find the code in the bunker by the second door. To open it, I entered numbers from 001 to 999 one by one. When I was walking through the room with the mannequins, the game crashed and I had to restart it. The codes changed, so I had to repeat the whole search process. Then I got to the fifth room and the game crashed again. More checkpoints would be needed so that you don't have to start over from the beginning every time. If these problems are fixed, I'll give the game a full score.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to craft the material for the 9mm. I plugged in the machine got the blueprints picked up all of the ammo and two other things. I am completely stuck at the beginning of this, thought maybe it glitched and tried again with the same result. Can anyone help me?
The voice acting is actually pretty good and feels like a survival game. You craft materials to progress through the campaign and survive the endless waves of zombies. There is some inconveniences i have to make known like there is no guidance on completing objectives. Yes, it’s a real small map but an arrow or a highlight of the object you have to interact with to complete the current objective would have saved me a ton of wondering around aimlessly. Or perhaps some reference to see what the current task is. Or else you’re just stuck and just face endless wavez of zombies and not getting anywhere. I do caution always be aware of your gun, cuz quite a few times the gun would be missing and id hsve to go in a hunt to find it. If you drop it, it doesnt automatically come back to your holster. Oh and another thing, i recommend shooting vs meleeing the zombies. No matter how great your hit is with the bat, the zombies almost always damage you even though it may not look like it. So to prevent burning through your heals, shooting them at a distance is the best approach. There’s a spot behind a metal container by the security exit gate where you can camp and shoot without worry if you ever get overwhelmed. It took me ages to find the control level for the gate (it’s behind a tan colored container next to the tent with crafting table. This is where a marker or highlight would have been really helpful.) not sure if user error but i had to quit as the lever would not move at all. Even with using both hands (controllers). Unfortunately there is no checkpoints and you start from the very beginning which was a let down. However, even with all of these inconveniences the game was enjoyable and i was impressed with how much effort was involved with its development. Highly recommend!
This is a good zombie game for a small developer. Very surprised by the amount of levels, and the story with voice acting. You can see that the assets are used in other games, but I liked the level lay out and the game loop. Very well done and better that other indie titles I've played at a higher price.
Only played the first two levels so far, but it’s a really decent game you have to craft all your materials and survive waves of Zombies, while continuing a story and solving puzzles and hunting down materials to get through each level.
It’s a really decent game well worth adding to your library.
