Zenith down fall.

I love zenith and I’ve played the crap out of it. I stopped for a year then came back to in game purchases and a new game mode added. I ran into a lot of glitches and unpatched glitches from the launch. I love the game, but if they were to fix the glitches and revamp some more textures then the game might turn out better. They added more content, but some of this content should be added to the main game as well. I love the magic you can use in the realms.

My honest review

I will be mostly reviewing the free part, Zenith: Infinite Realms

The core loop is simple: jump through floating island maps, kill mobs, and repeat until you hit the boss. Combat's fun when it works—you’ve got a magic spell, throwable blades, and a bow for long range. Once you start unlocking legendary gear (around level 25), things get way more fun. At level 83 (I think) you can get “Unique” gear that makes your spells feel like you're an anime god.

The game is absolutely janky. Sometimes a run breaks and you have to reset. The maps are reused constantly, and the community is mostly quiet or new players. But there’s a leaderboard system, and chasing the top spot is surprisingly addicting. It makes the grind feel worth it.

Jank isn't always a bad thing. Because of the jankiness of spells, they can concentrate and do explosive damage to bosses if they walk into them just right. This influences the way you fight and honestly it feels like a unique twist.

There’s no more content coming, which is a bummer. But for a free game, if you like competitive leaderboards spots, spell-flinging, and quick session-based VR fun, it’s absolutely worth trying. Just keep your expectations in check.

The DLC is $10 and unlocks the MMO part of the game. I do think it's fun, however there are so little players left. And for dungeons, you have to have multiple people to even start them. You may be able to find a couple of players in the discord willing to run dungeons with you, but it isn't a guarantee.

Fast flying is very fun and when you get to the Celestial Throne, the track slaps. However, the "Not enough memory to run Zenith" bug seems to be happening more than ever. It was a bit frustrating before, and it's worse than it was.

Didn't meet expectations

It was cool at first cause it was one of the first to be on the platform but it really isnt good. There are so many other games that have better usability and storyline. This is just blah.

The worst

Dont buy it, developers do not update it often, the login screen is sh** still, like if it was a beta. Not Worth it, it used to be great, devs dont care anymore. After the "free" dlc, they ruined the game by dividing the players.

Down but not out?

When it first came out, it was exactly what I dreamed VR to be. The first months after release remain the peak of my VR experience to date.
The first updates were nice QoL but things eventually got lost somehow. The F2P gamble offered a service that no one wanted and shifted focus away from was special. I think it hurt the game overall, cheapened it.

Mainly due to player counts dwindling, I regretfully moved onto other things, I often wonder if I had IRL friends with VR, there could be a use case to keep playing Zenith... my last days of playing were spent relaxing around scenic areas in the hopes of finding another player, listening to music and watching videos with a PC overlay, a new player came along, I taught them how to activate the REAL flight controls (that should be default), they were happy, i wonder how long they kept playing for.

I would re-release it if I really knew my stuff, remove F2P elements but drop the price, unite the player base in that sense. Itd be cool if 20 active players on a server was enough to feel populated. I can think of so many ways to do this! A simple 'warp to next nearest party/player' would be an example.

The game's got good bones - there must be a way to save it.

This game looks as bad as it is on pace

Good lord what did they do to this game? It looks horrible go outside rather then play this. And no I’m not writing this just for some bum to say: oh why write a review when you hate it?
