Love it

Some other reviews mention that you are forced to do the mixed reality. I don't like mixed reality either but you don't have to opt in for mixed reality. I like the ring side settings the best. It has a lot of options.

This has potential.

I mainly got this because of the ability to upload your own mp3s and I like the idea of fighting robots rhythmically. Currently though, it's a bit of a mess.

While the game immediately found my mp3 files, it doesn't seem to read them as mp3s, as in it just shows the file name, not the artist or anything like that. Since many of the files start with a track number, it's a nightmare trying to find a song.

Also, even after starting a song, I fight two bots and the game is over. The track is still going.

Here's what could make this game great:
- Better file reading / organization for mp3s
- A randomization option for choosing music
- A session timer (i.e. set how long I want to fight and see how many robots you can knock out in that time)

I was really impressed by the graphics and the mixed reality. This is the first fitness game that I liked in mixed reality, actually. This game really could be one of the best with a few additions.

Needs more work

A few reviews are missing the point of it being a cardio rhythm hitter rather than a boxing sim like Creed or Thrill.
I also have had their other title x-fitness a good while which had some good improvements made.
This needs the 360⁰ bot circling as an option urgently. It's fundamental to be able to switch it off - I cannot reengineer my room to suit the game (x-fitness doesn't do this either so no reason x-fighter should).
It also seems to encroach on your space leading to unblockable strikes - care needs to account for smaller room spaces, not just empty coding offices and huge houses. Distance options would be extremely useful here rather than needing our repeated Meta button repositioning every time.
It also could use more imagination and personality in robot behaviours and changes to our attacks (eg see X-fitness's range of weapons and SFX).
Has great but unutilised promise and recommended with these caveats. It's a unique MR title.

Shallow and boring

For a game that purports to be a boxing simulator, it does a really poor job. Every opponent fights with the same simple strategy, which is to punch every few seconds. They don't defend themselves as well, they don't move around, and blocking their punches seems to work or not work randomly. Yes you can work up a sweat but there's not much else to enjoy here. The novelty of having a giant robot in your house wears off quickly, and there are only a few robots which are somewhat blocky and low-res texture mapped. It's not satisfying to him them. They don't get slower or wobbly as they take more hits. And when they are defeated, they simply vaporize and get replaced with another opponent. There is one non-robot, but it's a guy wearing VR so you can't look him in the eye, and the green skin is creepy. If you want a good boxing simulator, get Thrill of the Fight. If you want a good arcade boxing simulator, get Creed. At least then you will be entertained while getting a workout.

Big Ugly Robots

Fighting big ugly robots in my living room is the best mixed reality so far. Yes, this is a rhythm game. Some reviewers complain about this. To me, this is the best part. And did I say it's a sweat-worthy workout?

Very promising VR Fitness game

Good/Pros :
. Augmented reality mode allows you to play in a small area without hitting your furniture, it is a very good point for this kind of game ;
. Each bot has its own “strategy”, it teach you to “know your enemy” ;
. The musics are really good and it is made to allow you to use/add your own ;
. Does the job as a cardio & fight training ;

Cons :
. No levels : maybe adding “easy,normal,expert” levels could help users not used to combat games to progressively improve themselves.
. No LIV support (I use to make MVR videos on YouTube @diego-vr)

Conclusion : it is a very promising cardio training game. I recommend it as a VR-Fitness game, but it is also a good game as a complement for combat training. It allows you to easily train your movements with a moving target having some defensive & attack points. I'm using it in my daily workout and I love it !
