My wife and I love playing Wordle online. When I saw Wordomi, I had to buy it. It’s basically the same thing but an extra “crossword” option. Love the horizontal/vertical concept as well.
I think what would make me give it 5 stars is if there were more bells and whistles. Meaning special effects or quests of some kind?
Other than that, I love the updates. More clean cut cubes and refresh rate, WotD, bonuses etc.
Keep up the good work devs.
I like word games and was very excited to try this and in principle it has all the elements I like....anagrams, time limits, 3D interaction but something is missing for me and I'm not quite sure what it is. I think I need a bit more obvious jeopardy to motivate me. Maybe make the ticking clock bigger and flashy rewards rather than a lonesome chime. I do like the hand-tracking element but you have to be very precise when moving the letters. I find I keep moving the box/cube, which is annoying but that's probably down to my lack of experience with hand-tracking.
So overall, it's fun but not engaging enough for me to get excited about.
a little wordle a little crossword. I enjoy the game but the handtracking gets a little weird sometimes. I like it but need to invest more time into it. Relaxing fun but don't like that the words are just a guess.
I won a free key, but this is worth the play. Using MR and hand tracking is fun, but calls for a well lit space for sure. Word puzzles are fun, the difficulty ramps up pretty hard.
I’m liking it!
Final Update: Tried playing again and this game just isn't for me. As the dev said in their response this is similar to wordle but since there are multiple words in each puzzle with a hard limit of misses it feels less like a puzzle to solve and more like a guessing game. I really enjoy wordle but this doesn't scratch the same itch for me at all.
This would be a 5 star game if they fixed the issues.
Edit: I will try the game again with the “Wordle” mindset as the dev suggested and come back with another take on it. End edit.
The downfall of an otherwise amazing game is that it’s just a guessing game. Unlike crosswords where it gives you clues, there are no clues for you to guess which word to enter. There are just x number of letters for you to use and many possible solutions. For example, if you have the letters EABVRY and the solution is a 4 letter word it could be “very”, “bear”, “bare”, “year”, “bray”, “verb”, “rave”, or “aver”. You have 3 attempts to guess the one the game wants you to use and if you don’t get it you lose.
Edit 2: Ignore this part between the asterisks, the dev corrected me. Please look at their response below. **On top of that there is no tutorial telling you how to interpret the results though it’s pretty straight forward. Green means correct letter in the correct position, red means correct letter in wrong position, gray means incorrect letter. The lack of tutorial made me have to figure out it was a guessing game though.** End edit 2.
I love the idea, and the mechanics and MR are spot on. It’s easy to manipulate the puzzle when you need to move it and it works wonderfully with pinching your fingers. It’s a very “cozy” game outside of the frustration of getting the answer wrong when there is no indication of what word you’re supposed to use which makes it a very UNcozy game.
If they implemented a clue system like crosswords, or better yet had an option to use traditional clues or cryptic clues it would be 5 stars.
If the dev(s) read this I think the idea is great, but the implementation is poor. Word puzzles shouldn’t be luck based and that is where this game fails. I would absolutely love this game if there was a clear cut right and wrong answer (by way of clues, for example) but as it stands, it is purely luck and it is more frustrating than fun when you just have to guess the word you want me to choose.
This is a game I want! I beg you to implement these changes because it’s a perfect use of MR for word puzzles. It’s a wonderful idea and it’s so close to being a perfect MR crossword experience but it falls hard on the fact it’s a guessing game rather than a logic puzzle.
Product description says it works with the touch controllers as well as with the hand controllers. My hands feel clumsy; knocks the blocks over and keeps moving things around. I prefer to use the controllers. How do I get them to work? I can’t get them to activate with this game. Please help.
