A bit weird to understand on the controls side, but otherwise it was a fun (but short) game. The fans of those characters will love it too I'm sure !
The negatives that others mentioned I have experienced too, it seems they haven't fixed them yet. Grabbing things is difficult. This is a problem in chapter 2, because if you drop something you may not be able to pick it up. Because of this I had to start chapter 2 again, because I dropped the vacuum cleaner and even though I bent down, I couldn't reach it. The gears also only go back to their place if you let go of them. If you're lucky, they won't fall to the ground. :) The standing mode is not comfortable, but it seems to work better than the sitting mode. Pay attention to the instructions in the first chapter on how to throw and move, because you will need it later, as well as to find hidden things. The game is worth trying, but the annoying things should be ignored. The game is short, the tasks are simple, but the graphics, atmosphere and music are great.
When I got this game I wanted to try the MR mode, but no matter how big I made the space setup or boundary, it wouldn't check of that it had to be at least 3m×3.5m
This is one of my favourite British characters and being able to go on a simple trip is really fun even though its basic its still got some references to its other films I love the work they put in this game highly a true British masterpiece
This is more of an interactive story than a full-fledged game—about a third of the time is spent listening to NPCs. The mechanics and gameplay feel outdated, more like something from 2019 rather than late 2023. The puzzles are extremely easy and offer little to no challenge.
Visually, the game looks nice, but it suffers from stability issues (played on Q3). I’m not familiar with the Wallace & Gromit universe, so perhaps it’s primarily aimed at fans of the series.
I played it only because it was available on Quest+ and is set to be removed tomorrow. Unlike other reviews, I didn’t encounter any bugs. The entire game can be completed in about an hour.
… you can accept a somewhat slow story-telling speed, easy puzzles and being stuck in a story that unfolds while you interact – this is the opposite of an open-world sandbox.
…
Essentially, it's a typical Wallace & Gromit adventure told interactively through a series of mini-games over a short period of 1.5 to 2 hours. The character is fixed in position in each scene/chapter (no walking). Interaction with the world is very limited – except for the required elements. Although there is an optional element for collectors/perfectionists, a replay value is virtually nonexistent.
…
I had no control-issues, no bugs and any task (if unclear) became obvious after checking for "active" objects to interacted with.
…
In the end I enjoyed this little "game"/adventure, the graphics and the voice-acting, even without being a huge fan of Wallace & Gromit. The bizarre world and its creatures were lovely.
