I’ve played Onward almost every day for the last three years. Mostly because I love realism and teamplay.
Sometimes I try something new. And almost every time I am dissapointed. But not with Vox.
It’s a very immersive game. It took me 4 hours to get to know the controls and one co-op game.
That co-op was insane. Talking on the radio while steering a giant robot. It blew my mind.
It felt so real and so inmersive.
Highly recomend for people who love the hardcore gameplay.
This game is awful.
Everything is slow, clunky and brutally difficult to control, and any mech has any sort of get-up-and-go has armor like tissue paper. You can't even strafe without using the godawful jump jets. Movement inputs feel more like suggestions rather than commands.
The weapons have zero impact. Nothing has any firepower, and they all feel pathetically weak, save for whatever the enemy's using, they'll shred you in seconds.
The flying controls are an exercise in frustration, since fuel recharges at a snail's pace (which wouldn't be so bad if you had more than four seconds worth, tops) and moving in the wrong direction for just a second will send you careening uncontrollably into a wall or off of a cliff or something. It's a perfect storm of way too little acceleration and way too much inertia - not a single mech is immune to this, not even the light ones.
Finally, the game looks HORRIBLE on Quest. I understand the hardware is limited, but every texture is muddy and blurry, human characters look like crude clay sculptures, and the lighting is completely flat.
I wanted to like this game. I love mech/vehicle combat games, but this game is just so bad.
Vox Machinae is VR mech combat done in the worst possible way. You want a good VR mech game, that looks great and makes proper use of the physicality inherent to VR as a medium? Buy UNDERDOGS, that game is excellent.
Very good game, the interaction with the Ai players is a bit repetitive.
Addicting game had a hard time putting it down
Developers. !
In multi player would be nice to see opponents name when u have them targeted , so you can target your friends or humans instead of fighting Bots.
The Bots on multi player are very good and challenging
Thanks for the game hope to see some updates
Wonderful game multiple gamemodes weapons, mechs, maps(with weather and time of day settings) and a wonderful community and community discord
I just got the game 20 minutes ago and all I can say is f*skin WOW! I'm gonna sink my teeth into this o e nice and slowly....
The severs I try to join are usually ghost towns when I look for a player hosted one
