I completely dislike this game. I love the graphics but it won’t allow you to actually come in contact with the targets, or it fails you and won’t complete song. It’s my own fault. I assumed it was like Supernatural. I’ve wasted money at this point.
WoW~ There have been many changes in 1.0 version!
Fitness games can be something you want to avoid on tiring days, but Vibe Punch is more of a rhythm game-based fitness game, so it's not a burden!
Unlike Beat Saber, you're not tied to fixed rules, and you can freely and refreshingly throw punches in any direction you want, such as hooks, uppercuts, and straights, without the boundaries of left and right hands!
So even if you play the same song again, you can enjoy it with a different play style.
It would be great if various languages and custom modes were supported :)
Game is fun and has a solid base to build from but is still a little short of VR main stays like Beat Saber. Having completely silent rockets being shot at you doesn’t make much sense and increases the difficulty level without reason. It’s hard to find the rockets in 3-D space when you turn your head.
The height of the rockets should be adjustable as well since they seem to always go a little bit higher than is comfortable for punching. Situations where dual rockets need to be punched could be improved by showing them in a different color.
Rapid combos of rockets targeting the same location can also be very difficult to see because all the smoke trails have the exact same color. If you miss the launching point of the rockets, you will never know how many are being shot at you and won’t know when you can safely address additional targets.
But to reiterate, the completely silent rocket shot at you is the biggest issue for me and is what’s holding back the game from becoming something that stays in my library for a long time.
UPDATE: I’m changing my review from 4 stars to 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ After playing some of the other song packs, I see that overall this game is 👍👍.
As a music/percussion guy, I’d like to offer some observations. I’m a little confused about why sometimes the hits sound off-beat (early or late). Is there a specific hit zone that you need to connect to, with the targets? It just feels very “off” when the “Hit” sound isn’t quantized with the beat of the music. Also, I find the bombs a little confusing. I’m sure they are designed to make you dodge to the left or right, but the approach trajectory leaves me guessing sometimes. Something that encourages you to squat occasionally, would also add to the fitness element.
Speaking of sounds, the kick and snare sounds work well, feel satisfying. The hand-clap sound does not work very well, and feels empty, like punching air. It would be nice if there was a stronger sound to announce the 1st beat when you enter a new verse/bridge/chorus, etc. (POWWWWWW!) Ideally, there would be a choice for the player to select which Kick/Snare/Accent sounds they want. (Personally, I prefer a snare with more reverb.)
Otherwise, great job on this concept. A lot of fun, which keeps me coming back, every day 👍👍
The graphics are superb...I'm vr veteran when it come to fitness game but this is ridiculous even on normal, double targets come from extreme left and right at the same time! its impossible to hit them unless you have 4 arms!!
..I want an intense game boxing but this needs work...I can't even complete level 1 and I'm a beat saber expert plus player...
So disappointed beautiful graphics ruined by thoughtless gameplay..
Can easily play this over and over and over!
