I use this game for cardio. You can keep it chill or crank up the intensity to nail the perfect flow and beat the clock. It's feels like the next level of Pistol Whip but without the killer music. There are tons of weapon choices, mechanics, tips, and tricks to perfect. I've played for the better part of a year and haven't even really got into the modifiers yet. Nothing is as satisfying as "scene perfected".
For me the better Version of Superhot.
There's a ton of missions, and most levels work well. Don't be discouraged when you repeatedly finish a mission and it won't move you to the final area (sky diving keeps floating above ground after defeating everyone even when I grab the item, saw someone finish on YouTube doing the same steps, so it apparently works for some players some of the time), or a tape next to you can't be picked up or shot, etc. Gotta let that go and skip to the other levels here, they aren't order gated. Also I wish there was a way to turn off 180 turns, which I never mean to do but frequently happens unintentionally when I'm just trying to turn, incredibly frustrating. Otherwise, it's great, and I'd still recommend it.
From the very first frames, I fell in love with the game's minimalist art design, which at first glance seems to be the love child of two previous VR hits: Pistol Whip's dad and Superhot's mom couldn't deny the act, even if the kid moves! Vendetta Forever comes from that segment of (VR) games where there is no story, no cutscenes, and no dialogue, and it doesn't evoke any thoughts or feelings in us, but we don't feel their absence for a single moment as we are dizzy with the raw, powerful flow experience of the gunplay. The system, called "Lo-Kill-Motion" and learnt in a matter of seconds, is a rail shooter game mechanic operating with slow-motion elements, which, as a combination of 6DoF controllers and a 360° playing field, can only be interpreted in virtual reality. We cannot freely change our position, but by eliminating our opponents and jumping into their place, we take over their current weapons and thus progress through the relatively quick levels from enemy to enemy. The logical puzzles hidden in the high-action heroics complete the challenge, with the optimal order of elimination and fast execution being equally important on longer levels. The creator spices up the new levels with numerous small innovations, one of the most memorable moments of the game is racing through a location shrouded in complete darkness, guided only by the light of the muzzle flashes. Inspired by its predecessors but capable of displaying its own individuality, this action-packed game is a prime example of how a good idea based on the feeling of presence in virtual reality can be turned into an entertaining and pleasantly challenging fast-paced action game with simple gameplay using just a few buttons. I never felt that the stylized visuals were lacking, and the clean gameplay is particularly good at not getting lost in the details of the visuals, but rather letting us lose ourselves in the feeling of "being there."
When I bought this game I liked it a lot but played casually testing all tracks. But that was for me personally wrong way to play this game. These kind of games are best, when you grind the same track over and over to get the higher and higher score. My time flyes and I get a good sweat. And there's more than enought ways to challenge yourself. I have used and I will use many hours to this game
Thumbs way up!!!! Really fun time in VR!!
