Until You Fall is easily one of the best VR games I’ve played. The controls are fairly easy to learn, the combat mechanics are awesome, and the environment is well-made. If you’re new to VR or really want a close-combat sword fighting game, this is for you.
There’s not a lot of great games for people stuck on the Comfortable level, as in, you have to play games that doesn’t trigger your motion sickness. This is one of those great games. On the parts/dashes that moves you from one enemy to another, you can close you eyes for a brief second to avoid motion sickness. Open your eyes, and get back into action. You can adjust the vignette pretty significantly (is that how it’s spelled) to minimize motion sickness as well.
Due to its comfort level, this game is indeed one of the best VR games for beginners and players who want quick gameplay that gives you a workout and a taste of some adrenaline-inducing action. It’s rogue-like, meaning when you die, you start over again. Each time, you’re able to choose upgrades as you go. I quickly realized I hated this because I lose some stuff, but it is really satisfying when you have good upgrades going. Although I said quick gameplay, some people can spend hours in this. So, it’s really nice to be able to spend as little or as much time here as you want.
This game is no longer supported anymore (maybe just small patches to make sure it actually opens and works after Quest updates, but no more quality updates for this game). So if you encounter glitches… it’s probably not likely to get addressed. Just uninstall and reinstall again. Sucks, but if it’s on sale, I’d get it.
Played this when I had the Quest+ subscription last year, and had been thinking about how good it was ever since. Bought it with my own money recently, and still wasn’t disappointed. I never tried to grow out of the Comfortable level because I don’t spend a lot of time on the Quest. I’m just a 20-60 min on my day off here and there kind of person.
I came here to leave a review in hopes that I can reach the devs.
This game is so fun. It burns a few calories. But it’s got the same ~9 levels and ~10 enemies that you fight over and over again. I’d absolutely buy a sequel or a DLC.
I’m not hopeful since the game feels somewhat abandoned: it used to have a dedicated discord server but now that’s been archived and folded into the bigger
Schell games one. Only one social media post about it in the last year. Etc
The game is great, but it lacks updates and new content. It gets repetitive quickly, as all the levels look the same, and the characters feel very similar too. Some bHaptics support would be appreciated at least.
As soon as I played the free trial I KNEW I had to buy it and a few months in, not a single regret. Two words: MUST. BUY!!!!
AAAAND to feel cool af lol it really is my new go to for exercise! I strap on my 2.5 lbs wrist weights and tighten the abs and go to TOOOOOWN!!! 27 hours of game time and I've ALMOST beaten the boss on easy 😆 played it for 4 hours on the meta+ subscription then it was removed and those 4 hours made it worth me buying the actual game and not rent it from meta till they decide to RIP it away from me lol
