This game has some good parts and some bad parts. The good part is that the ai moves very legit each fighter has their own style and can suprise you also wiith each hit the controller vibrates which makes it very satisfying. Apart from that its a bit mid its just not that outstanding or special, you can only fight 3 fighters and all the animation are not that special in contrast with creed for example. Also the gameplay and boxing is mid the ai often move back and when i try to move forward i get out the screen and cant see anything but you also get knocked out way too easily i have to hit the bot for like 10 times on the head and hes still standing while when i get hit once i already see black. If you like a realistic movement from ai and just a simple game for a workout once in a while this game is good but if you want to play this more often i wouldnt recommend
Honestly I kinda wanted to give this a 2 star, but there is enough innovative stuff here that it didn't feel quite right to do that. I bought this game at 4:15 today and at aprox. 4:42 I had beaten the whole thing. Each guy at every level. This is a game probably worth about 10 bucks but I understand that honestly there is profit threshold these guys need to operate with when developing a game so I don't mind the extra 5. Everyone here has already mentioned the ai stepping out of the play area, the goofy ragdolling, the immense livershot weakness, and few other bits.
On the plus side- The ai isn't as formulaic as other titles and doesn't rely on the same patterns to throw punches. After a bit you can predict whats gonna come next but to be fair that's pretty normal, if you throw a right hook you can bet your butt his left is coming. I like that body shots matter, even if it is a bit goofy. The ai reacts to feints, which is cool. Hand tracking doesn't always align well but ...it wouldn't be a boxing vr game if your glove didn't randomly decide desync from time to time. Jabs are worth nothing in this game as with all boxing games (except CRtG) so just remember to throw hard-fast-and don't bother to set it up, you'll only warn them what's coming.
All in all? Meh. It's ok.
Now three fighters available
Even with updates the game is still very easy to beat.
Glove positioning and hit detection have been improved over time but still need extensive work.
Ai is fun with a bit of character and flash to the movements but nothing that made it feel more enhanced as it claims. Just seems to have different motion capture for the boxers. Id say AI claims are very misleading at this stage
Combat is decent with lots of potential and I'm sure would only get better... if they didnt abandon game... now id warn people that this game likely will never feel fully polished. So if would you buy the game in its current state for 3 sub par fighters ?
Still abandoned
Very realistic opponents! Very fun and good workout!
Love this game but still a work in progress. The AI opponents are very realistic and have some of the best movement in VR boxing. Now that the developer is back updating, I am excited for this game to reach its potential. If it was a finished product, I'd give it 5 stars.
