*Automatic: you move continuously in the direction you are facing but you need to jump in reality in order to jump in the game! You don't need the controllers and you may carry weights in your hands for a better workout!
*Joystick: you move continuously in the direction you are facing while you are holding the joystick forward, and against the direction you are facing while you are holding the joystick backwards. You need to jump in reality in order to jump in the game!

I have watched this game from its earlier demo. It has come a long way. This dev is known for making great games for very modest prices. This game is a great workout with multiple options for movement to adjust to your fitness level. The best workouts are the ones disguised as fun and this nails it.
So it’s like a fitness game that is actually fun there are three different types of ways to move you can move with you feet move automatically or you can just use the joy stick it is so fun cause your distracted by the mission and stuff and every new level they add more and more stuff that can either help you or can slow you down it is so cooool
I've never seen the point in exercising and running (except to catch a bus or train). But this way it makes VeRy much sense to me.
Fun game. I realized that you don't have to actually run, but just have the headset moving is good for the character to run.
But running is way funnier
In Ultra Real Runner, unlike other fitness APPS, you’re playing a GAME. Unlike other games, you’re exercising. While running in place, you forget that you’re actually exercising because you’re immersed and distracted by the mission. Who wants to make exercising fun again? 🙋🏼♀️ Although there are a lot of annoying loading screens, I use them as a quick cool down, breather, or to drink water. Before you know it, you’re an hour into jogging in place and covered in sweat. I have bad knees so I do soft bunny hops over obstacles. There is a way to cheat the system but there is no point in doing that. It’d be boring and you’ll probably get rug burn on your face.
Sure, some of the game needs a little polishing but it doesn’t detract from having fun. This unique game is the only game on the Quest that allows you to run and jump in real life while playing a game. There are a lot of training levels that build up in intensity and prepare you for the mission. So put down your bonbons and put on your headset. Put down your controllers and pick up some dumbbells. Give it a run for your money. It’s under $10 and worth it.
Don’t think I’ve played any game like it! The immersion is crazy! Actually having to physically jump to jump in the game and really move to navigate you way to the finish line!
