To Be a Pilot is a transport driving simulation game with an incredibly
diverse range of vehicle types, ranging from usual suspects like cars,
planes, helicopters and motorboats to exotic stuff like hovercraft, hanggliders, caterpillars, swamp walkers, snow vehicles & more.
Players learn to drive all those vehicles in VR and use skills they got to complete challenging missions with harsh extra conditions. All vehicle systems are thoroughly simulated, they work and look like they do in real life.
- Learn how to drive vehicles of your choosing
- Explore exotic maps in the most beautiful places on Earth, like the
island of Haiti or Mauritania desert
- Move around on the ground, on the water or in the skies
- Get out of difficult situations using smart thinking and vehicle driving skills

It says that a plane and a helicopter will be unlocked once their sales reach a certain point. I don’t know about you, but I think their sales numbers are their problem, not ours. I want to use the simulated fixed wing plane, not the motor glider (actually a weight shift microlight). I’m going to be requesting a refund. Frankly, I think it’s a bit cheeky and against their own interests to be restricting the game based on sales.
I give two stars for trying. The graphics are not bad, but that is where the praise stops. As a professional pilot, I do know what an aeroplane is supposed to feel like, and this is not it. The controls are highly unresponsive and they didn’t even bother to add a throttle. “Wings 2” might not be perfect either, but it is a lot closer and much more fun.
