i played tonight both solo and with a squad – it's an absolute game-changer for anyone who loves heart-pounding VR action adventures.
The core loop is pure genius: team up with up to three friends (or go lone wolf in single-player) to hunt down and dismantle these massive mechanical behemoths. Each Titan fight feels like an epic boss battle straight out of a blockbuster sci-fi flick, with swarms of drones buzzing around, laser barrages lighting up the sky, and weak points that demand clever strategy and split-second dodges.
It's absolutely amazing. It's worth the money.. but are there any sides games once you complete the games, like in windlands 1 and 2? Actually, I just found the extras and played them as well. Good games.
Really enjoyed this game at first, the levels were fun, the design was smooth, and it kept me hooked for a while. But once I finished all the levels, there wasn’t much left to do. No new challenges, no updates, and no reason to keep playing. It’s great while it lasts, but it gets boring fast once you’ve completed everything. I’d recommend it if you just want a short burst of fun, but don’t expect long-term entertainment.
There are so many elements to this game that I enjoyed. I loved being able to fly, the colors of every level are varied and vibrant, and the danger of falling from heights while multitasking to dodge fire and aiming shots left my stomach constantly full of butterflies.
The negatives were the many broken seams of objects where I could fall through levels, the bots getting stuck behind walls (had to restart the whole level in one situation because I couldn’t kill the stuck bot), major glitches in transitioning between handheld gun and rifle, and the drop-ship pickup wouldn’t show up at the end of some levels until I backtracked the level to trigger it again.
The team really dropped the ball not creating PvP as a part of the game. Hopefully, this will be added later. Fixing all of the glitches while adding this feature would make this game endless fun.
A HUGE disappointment was discovering that the creators prominently embedded a photo of a VR personality from X on a wall in the game that was vocal about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I won’t give this person traction by naming him, but here’s a quote:
“Feels absolutely insane to see America slip comfortably into state controlled media & totalitarianism over the death of a bigoted, piece of sh*t podcaster”
Immortalizing a person with this kind of character in a game is celebrating their behavior. It has nothing to do with the game, and continuing to leave it in the game is a reflection of the character of the creators.
Be better.
UPDATE: After finishing the campaign I can honestly say this is the most fun I have had in VR in ages. Such a polished feel with a completely addictive gameplay loop. I really hope the game gets the attention it’s deserves so we can get a sequel. This is what VR is made for. Buy it and support these devs.
I never played any of the Windlands games. So I’m coming at this from the perspective of someone new to this dev team’s formula . With that being said this game is an absolute blast. The movement mechanics are so fun to play with. Well done devs.
Having an absolute blast in this game.
