This game is so fun I’ve lately been getting into haz bin hotel and zombies 10 out of 10 love it so much it’s playable for 10 years. It’s super fun bro. I’m a just say that right now if you’re looking at the reviews of this and you come across mine by this game, you’re gonna love it.
Ive been playing this one and the 1st one since they've been out and honestly there like one of my first vr games and yet they had to give up on such a great game, I lowkey miss this game and the memories I've made on it its such a great vr game its just I dont understand why they gave up on it.
genuinely such a good game
Retribution is an easy recommendation, especially at its current price. The first Saints & Sinners was built for the Quest 1 and the levels were pretty basic. This sequel was designed for Quest 2, and the difference is obvious: the new neighborhoods are larger, more detailed, and far more varied. The Tower district downtown is especially impressive, with the hospital, parkade, army vehicles, and the Tower looming overhead. Bourbon Street also looks great, and interior spaces of Hotel E’Claire feel like real locations instead of reused layouts.
It’s not perfect and there are bugs. When fire effects appear, the framerate can drop into the teens. The chainsaw can glitch walkers into spasms. Some character models look like they escaped from an alpha build. And there are moments where the game seems rushed: unclear objectives, scenarios that feel half-finished, and missions that imply choices you don’t actually have. More than once I had to stop and check online just to make sure I wasn’t soft-locking something.
But despite the rough edges, Retribution is a fantastic VR game with great atmosphere and memorable moments. Garret (the Axeman) is easily the most memorable antagonist in the series. His motivations are solid and his presence, ambushes, and boss encounters make him unforgettable. Night missions are tense and fun, especially when following UV trails through fogged-out neighborhoods.
There are about a dozen new missions that took me over 15 hours to complete. Of those, three missions are complex and epic! Despite a few bugs, including one that made me revert to a previous file save, I still finished the story, which ends with an epic infiltration of the Tower that I had been waiting for since the first game. At this price, there's no excuse not to try it.
Why do people complain about it?
When i first started playing it i felt that feeling of saints and sinners 1 feeling of figuring out what to do and where to go. Honestly i had to google where to find smg parts and same thing gose for the grenade launcher. But over all i loved the axe man being invincible to bullets . When i got the substatica code for the infinity gun i just shot gerik on the roof of via carola on the mission of the bell over all i loved the new weapons and the storyline great game , highly recommend
