The Signifier

This game has potential in the overall creativity and storyline. However, it glitches and crashes. I cannot continue the game to the next level. It crashes me to the meta main menu. I requested a refund and was denied. A waste of $19.99. Either fix it, or give people back their money. Simple.

I have yet yo barely make it past the very beginning yet, and though it seems ok I guess, there is one flaw that truly annoys me and makes me wirry about the OVERWHELMINY bad reviews on this title...
Though this issue was appearently "latched" it serms, no matter ehat I do I am THE SIZE OF A CHILD! My boundary settings are all correct (changing the floor level does NOTHING for some reason anyway)
but the first guy you meet in the game, i literally only come up JUST above his stomach. And the Sitting position that helps with this in other games (not that it really ever hppens), THAT purs me 2 feet OVER him, making the game unplayable that way lest I sit low on my f****ng floor...

So now I'm truly worried about the MANY bugs and gamebreaking glitchs I've heard of, and though the devs claim to have patched all/ most of them months ago- THIS ossue was also supposed to be fixed!
Making me believe that this may just be a team that needs to work on something besides VR games if I continue to find more reasons to regret giving this very interesting game a chance even after the massively negative reviews and warnings...

I pray nothing more or worse comes up going forward...

I got a few hours into this game and was very interested and impressed with the gameplay mechanics and the story. However, when trying to continue on to the next level, the game would glitch out and then crash. I closed the game, and then tried to load the levels again and the same thing happened. I even restarted the headset and that didn't help. Eventually, I wasn't even able to get the app to open at all and now can't play the game. I should have read the reviews before purchasing because a lot of people have complained of similar issues. It has been patched before so it is a shame that there are still issues. Since I had gotten more than 2 hours into the game, I cannot get a refund so I hope the game gets fixed soon.

This game is amazing!
The topics covered are of a complexity that is head and shoulders above the most famous flat titles.
The gameplay is like nothing I've ever seen before.
There are multiple endings and this is one of the few games that I wanted to replay to see another ending.
Only flaw, some bugs, understandable given the structure and complexity of the game.

I have 1 question: did anyone try to make a second run? I tried but there are many bugs: in the 1st memory (Johanna appartment) when i push the button to switch to soggettive memory, i enter in the 13th years memory, at the school!

If you correct this bug and let me play a second run, i will give five stars!

I've played some of the original PC version before this VR port was announced, and both VR and flat versions aren't well known.
But I greatly respect them both for having interesting narratives, STRONGLY effective feel in creepiness and unease (especially in VR), and ambitious detective gameplay through closely observing your surroundings and using different states of mind, matter, and sound, to solve puzzles.

It's not a bad VR port either. And while it did launch a mess, they've been fixing a lot of problems, but it still has some work.
Remaining problems I've encountered so far:
- VERY low resolution for textures and texts. No doubt a Quest 2 limitation, but the Quest 3 version could use better textures, at least for the objects you pick up like books.
But texts that pop up like tutorials and subtitles are way too blurry.
- Low framerate hands. For some reason, my hands move at low framerate compared to everything else.
- Needs better sitting mode. When in standing mode, the height is fine. But it's wrong in sitting mode, as it puts me too high. The crouch button fixes this, but I still can't crouch low enough to pick up objects down low. And talking to NPCs feels either much shorter than them or much higher, for some reason.
I even tried to sit with the crouch button pressed, stood up, reset camera position holding meta button, and sit back down. Nothing changed. Sitting mode is just too high.
