Fireproof Games continue their award winning game series, The Room, with The Room VR: A Dark Matter.
The British Institute of Archaeology, London, 1908: The disappearance of an esteemed Egyptologist prompts a Police investigation into the unknown. Explore cryptic locations, examine fantastic gadgets and enter an otherworldly space which blurs the line between reality and illusion. Designed from the ground up for the unique capabilities of virtual reality, players can inhabit the spine-tingling world of The Room and interact with its strange contraptions in this compelling new chapter.
Fireproof Games are a small independent team working in Guildford in the UK. We self-published our first game, The Room, in September 2012 and were stunned with both the critical success and our new-found fan-base, not to mention multiple international awards. The Room games have since changed our lives and we hope you enjoy our Virtual Reality take on the series.

I absolutely enjoyed this game! Please keep them coming!
I love a puzzle game that's a little creepy, but not full of cheap jump scares. This fit the bill and I had a ton of fun playing!
I’ve had this game in my library for YEARS!!!! I finally sat down to play it and I LOVED it. I need more!! The puzzles were fun and not OVERLY challenging. However there were some that made me put down the headset and take a break. Can’t wait to play other games from this studio. Well done.
I think my biggest mistake was playing ghost town first and the room second. My expectations were so high after ghost town that I was certain the room would be up to par! I DID enjoy the game and found the puzzles to be super intricate (which I love) but the ending was incredibly underwhelming. I was so excited to finally enter the white doorway and for it to be like 3 puzzles… :(((

I've been a fan of The Room series for quite some time. When I saw there was a VR entry, I had to get it. The games themselves are very fun, clever, and challenging. With a hint of a dark, Lovecraftian touch. This team are the undisputed masters of these types of games, and this entry is their best work yet. The fun and logical puzzles are just enough of a challenge to keep you engaged without making you frustrated. Even if you do get stuck, there are some hints you can use to point you in the right direction or if you're REALLY stuck, they can just give you the answer after a few hint requests.
Don't hesitate to give this a shot. It's worth not just your cash, but your time.
I absolutely love this this; lots of variety, detailed graphics, not too hard but definitely not easy which requires you to pay attention and think. Extremely enjoyable.
