Been a huge puzzle game fan for over 10 yrs. Thx for this developer bring me back to my childhood, in a more reality way. Though the cons of this game is some maps might need a tutorial to help ppl come through, but way more cons let this game a ez 5/5 for me.
Never thought a VR puzzle game world be this real and playable. Great game play with kid and enjoy the brainstorm time.
Old school puzzle game with a story mode behind it?! You had me at "The". I just wish we were better at puzzles. -punkrokreview
The Lock offers a beautifully minimal yet deeply engaging puzzle experience that’s uniquely suited to VR. You’re presented with a floating lock mechanism that unfolds like a 3D sculpture. Using subtle hand movements, you slide and rotate each piece, gradually revealing the intricate solution. What starts as abstract manipulation slowly transforms into a coherent, almost magical system — just like forming a key, where every dent and curve interacts with the lock’s hidden mechanics.
The sensation of solving each phase is immensely satisfying. There's no timer, no pressure — just you, your mind, and the soothing ambiance of a quiet, surreal space. The music and visuals create a meditative atmosphere, encouraging mindfulness and experimentation. It’s not just a puzzle — it’s a moment of calm focus that rewards observation and patience.
This is a gem for puzzle lovers and fans of tactile gameplay. Whether you play in short bursts or lose yourself in the satisfying rhythm of trial and insight, The Lock is a subtle masterpiece that turns motion into meaning. Highly recommended for anyone seeking something thoughtful and beautifully executed in VR.
When you like puzzles, you definitely have to try this one. The puzzles are hard. Haven’t complete them all yet. But it is a lot of fun.
I am mostly an Escape Room fan, and tend to prefer mechanical puzzles where you need to figure out codes, symbols and patterns. I wasn't sure about this, because in real life I find those little metal pretzel-type puzzles and the wooden lock boxes to be a bit tedious. But I am so blown away by this game, and have been addicted to it. It's beautiful to play (love the passthrough option!) and some of the puzzle boxes have kept me stumped for several nights in a row. Simple concept, but beautifully executed. Great for when you have 20 minutes (or several hours!) where you want a mental challenge but don't want to immerse yourself in storyline. I can recommend this!
