I'm loving this game but...

I have been enjoying The Living Remain. Only complaint is that the grip is off a bit. Other issue is that the locked blue cooler in the back yard of the house that gets overrun. I have grabbed the key before and after the house is overrun and it still stays locked. Can you tell me how to pop the lock on that cooler.

Really Enjoyed It

This is the first zombie game I have played and I thought it was great!

I liked the knife it felt really satisfying digging the knife into the heads of the zombies and I liked the guns and how you upgraded them and I liked the level design and the atmosphere.

The graphics are not that great. I laughed when I saw that the trash was a jpeg image and some of the buttons on the machines are flat jpegs as well. But it doesn't take away from the game because it is still a good game. Also the sounds some of the zombies made when you killed them was a bit silly but still doesn't take away from the game.

The story narrative was a bit too simple and basic from what I was expecting. The overall campaign is great but the story was a bit too simple. Would love a more fleshed out story in future games.

Overall it was a great game! I look forward to a sequel if the developers have that in mind.

Survival Nation meets Arizona Sunshine

I’m a sucker for zombie games, especially story driven ones in vr. Some of my favorite games of all time are TWD: Saints & Sinners and Arizona Sunshine, mostly for their fun mechanics and unique storytelling. I can say confidently that The Living Remain is a fun experience. I love playing new zombie vr games for the story, I’m always intrigued about what a game developer can do with a character and story when it’s in their hands with their own ideas. Playing as Grant, finding guns and ammo, fighting your way through abandoned factories, sewers, and suburbs all to reunite with his family. A simple yet driving story that can be built upon throughout the game. I do think it should sit on a $15 price point instead of $20, but with decent voice acting, fun playability, mechanics like Survival Nation, and a story like Arizona Sunshine, this game definitely deserves a solid 4 stars.

Plus, with a dev team consisting of only two people.. wow, terrific job Five Finger Studios, I’m looking forward to seeing what else y’all have in store for this game and the future

Awful game

More like a point and click than a zombie adventure. Skins are just copied from other zombie games. Do not buy this game ! If you are going to release a game for everyone to enjoy at least make sure there aren't any bugs on the first two missions !

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry to hear the game didn’t meet your expectations. We'd really appreciate the opportunity to help troubleshoot the issues you ran into during the first missions — feel free to reach out to us at support@fivefingerstudios.com or message us on Discord so we can assist.

Just to clarify a couple of points: The Living Remain is not a point-and-click game — it's designed as a fully interactive action-adventure experience in VR. Also, we put a lot of effort into creating more unique undead characters with custom textures — nothing is copied from other games.

We appreciate your feedback and are here to help if you're willing to give us a chance!

Next Zombie Franchise!

Updated Review…

Originally I basically stated that LR is an underling, although also great, to Arizona Sunshine.

I was wrong. LR is different. It is less polished in a narrative sense, but it has some gritty differences I love! The physics and world object interactions really make this more immmersive.upgrading weapons is another plus…

Most importantly, I can’t stop playing it! Different but amazing in its own right - this is your next franchise zombie game.

2 devs. Wow - imagine what they could do with a larger team and more investment. Buy the game and support a clearly talented duo.

Doesn't come close to the best

However...it's a decent budget zombie story driven game. It just fell short for me.
Walking is a bit laboured, impact of kills isn't satisfying.
Still better than Aliens though.
