I played for a few minutes to test it out, or even decide if I'm to keep the game.
So far it maybe seems ok for a short relaxinvvsession, but therecwere some annoyances in my short test run.
1- No option for smooth turn. You have to click the right thumbstick to switch between them (with the infuriating Snap turn being default) , but it switches back to snap turn on every small loading screen, making it a constant nuisance of switching back and forth when they could've just added a togglable option in the (barren) options menu... It would've been easier for them todo that even...
Outside of that problem, the speed of the smooth rotation is incredibly slow with no option to adjust it's speed..(in fact, options are completely non-existent outside of volume adjustment for BGM and effects...)
2- The limited 2 second dash, that has no meter orvreason for existing when you can just keep hitting B again every single time. This makes it annoying to keep a level of speed beyond a snail's pace and is incredibly poor design choice.
Just let people always run or do more than crawl for god's sake...
3- This is more a personal issue, but I'm 75% blind (1 eye and no peripheral vision), and since this game is 100% reading pop-up messages when talking to NPCs, it's very hard to read all of the pop-up when it's moving WITH my head. I REALLY wish developers would stop doing that, as messages/ text like that works just fine if it stays in 1 spot!
The small few genius VR games that do it that way did just fine...
4- This was a very small thing, but it is odd. Your "paws" are not aligned with your hands/ controllers at all, with them facing down from where you are pointing. ...Why?...
Not game breaking, just really odd.
Now given these issues (or at least 2-3 of them), I really want to only give it 2-Stars at most, but I need more time with the game to deny it's potential. So I'll try to work through these annoyances and see what more it offers before deciding my permanent rating and if I'll keep it.
I want to love this game, but it feels like it is in early access. The game glitches when I pick up some items and flings me across the area. It's difficult to put trash in cans and you have to do it one piece at a time. If you put the trash in the wrong bin, the trash gets flung away from you. I've played two mini games and they were fun. Walking is slow and running time in limited. Hopefully, an update will fix the glitches and other issues will be resolved and things get better as progress in the game.
