The graphics are truly excellent and atmospheric.
However, there’s barely any story, the actors are terrible - and completely unnecessary anyway.
The puzzles are nice enough but hardly challenging. I never once felt the need to use a hint. The controls are clunky - this has been solved far better in many other games.
The finale is a sluggish dice-rolling sequence without any depth whatsoever.
Overall, unfortunately, only mediocre. A pity, because the atmospheric setting could have offered so much more.
On a side note: the 18+ rating in Germany is rather strange - there’s nothing particularly violent or scary here.
Very good recreation of the cult classic PC adventure. Very good quality of chalenging puzzles, very interesting mystery. Not scary in a bad way (no jump scare etc.), but quite intense atmosphere. One gripe is to the help and map system (wooden board), which didn't work for me. For me it was much better than Ghost Town.
Great game if you're a fan of the original. Looks great and plays great. Puzzles are definitely easier than the original game, but that is not a bad thing (needed a hint book before the internet!). Definitely give it a try.
overall a great game just like the original. has a small bug with the ouija board. if you're a board is always blank quit the game completely and reopen. that fixed it for me.
the clues aren't very great, there are mostly very vague and then go straight to solving it for you.
the texture is a really good, very good vr unlike the rest of the metaverse. takes a very dark turn towards the end so definitely not for children.
As a new VR player, The 7th Guest VR has completely blown me away.
The visual fidelity and atmosphere of Stauf Mansion are simply incredible and set a high bar for VR puzzle games. The polish is exceptional, especially considering the price point—it feels like a premium experience.
The immersion is so strong that I barely noticed the outside world; I was so focused on the environment that I actually noticed the light coming through my headset’s nose gap for the very first time!
While I’m still early in the game, this initial experience confirms it's a must-buy for any VR enthusiast. I can't wait to see what other secrets this eerie, visually stunning mansion holds.
Immersive storyline mixed with some of the most creative puzzles found in a VR game. The cinematic scenes are extremely well done and look great on the Quest. Unlike others, I didn't have have any issues accessing the hints which were definitely needed at times. Overall, great experience.
