Beautifully and elegantly done. Very hypnotic and draws you in with the music. Can definitely recommend this one.
Symphoni breaks away from the 1st generation rhythm game style, which has become overly familiar and can feel stale. By fully utilizing MR (Mixed Reality) and hand tracking, key features of 2nd generation rhythm games, you no longer need to unnecessarily hold cumbersome controllers to play the rhythm. The clean and simple UI, ethereal effects, and refreshing, spreading sound effects harmonize beautifully with the game's classical music-based atmosphere. I'm particularly pleased with the custom mode added in this update, which greatly enhances the game's content. This isn't a game where you act as a maestro directing musicians. Instead, it's like a Harry Potter game where you become a wizard, using a wand to perform music directly. The only drawback is that it currently only supports English. It would be wonderful if multi-language support could be added for users from various countries.
The game is a lot of fun even if the graphics are very simple and abstract, and the movements of the hands that have to be done here when conducting have virtually nothing to do with actual movements when conducting. The additional content thanks to Composer makes the game more varied, a few very good additional pieces already exist (in addition to some crusy user creations)
UPDATE 25/04/25

XXXXXXXXX
This game will have you playing to a collection of 16 classical tunes (at launch) in both MR and VR modes.
With both hand tracking and controller modes you can really take advantage of all the features the Quest 3/3s has to offer.
Whether your a casual music game player or the more experience player there is a difficulty (3 difficulties) to suit everyone as compete for high scores.
Whist the package may seem modest (but fairly priced) all the songs are excellently charted and balanced in a nice gradual curve to help you master the game.
But the best is yet to come with the developers already set the motions on building a community up........eg custom songs!!
I have a feeling that this title will grow from strength to strength as the community grows with the title.
I really wanted this game to be great. I love classical music. I started with beat saber and moved mainly to synthriders because the synthriders just works. I tried symphoni and the idea of conducting in vr is brilliant. I’ve played the piano since age 3 and am in the middle of a conducting course.
The movements in this game don’t have a lot to do with conducting. The hand tracking in horrendous. You kill yourself to throw your hands up and it decides that you didn’t cut the arc. It ruins your spirit and makes you feel cheated. Then they have combined movements that are so unnatural that without being just memorized you’ll never do them. It’s also very hard to see this arcs come at you. It’s not like synthriders or beatsaber where you get a stream and you can plan ahead. Here everything is a surprise. There is so much place for a vr-conducting game. Right now this is a disappointment. Sadly…
This game takes you to another world. Time just disappears. It's hard to stop playing.
