Final Early Access Summary.

Final summary then I shut up 😊

It’s Early Access so I guess we wait for the fully , completed , version to launch once all of the issues etc. are dealt with ?

With Oxygen and Nutrition set to zero I have accomplished quite a lot without the fear of death due to running around madly for ice. A very good thing indeed!

Building is straight forward enough once you have gathered enough resources however have noticed that multiple scenarios require multiple amounts of the same resource which can be a tricky planning exercise to get right. I guess this is the intention? Also do you store resources in a box or your inventory . You have to check this often so you can make something else?

I think the way you create a production line method of making in your habitat makes sense but can be quite complex to mitigate and execute efficiently.

Is there a console for breaking unwanted items down and reclaiming the core materials back? Would help.

Furniture and other items to complement your habitat factory are limited so far and would need to be quite expansive in the final version to allow creativity and interior design to feature as much as resource gathering. A bigger manufacturing facility should surely feature in the final version ?

Walking or driving the bike is good , the hover bike is excellent , and you explore with relative ease and soak up the Martian vibe. Excellent so far.
Hopefully a larger Mars rover with truck sized storage will also arrive , as leaving items because your inventory is full is a current pain.

Some graphic details are a bit simple , so they must be an early iteration of what’s to came ? Other details and animations are superb , so just need to wait and see.

So in final summary ,

It’s great and clearly offers scope for so much more to come.
Survival on Mars will be a hellish ordeal and will actually result in many premature deaths but a VR game should offer some actual hope and reward without the fear of failure ( completely ).

Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

Don’t forget us early explorers still out there 👍

Good luck guys ( developers ).

We added the ability to fully customize your difficulty, which can make nutrition drop slower if you prefer to give yourself more of a buffer. If you have any questions on how to proceed further please join our Discord (https://discord.gg/n4UtpFdceE) or just update your review, and Ill do my best to help you here!

Doesn't work after you play for awhile

Just bought the game. After opening the first new section, I can no longer save my progress and when I got to craft a new item, it doesn't output anything. I have 15 copper I extracted but on one of the machines, it says I have zero. Can't do anything now since I can make any items or save my progress. Ridiculous

Disappointing bugs

I think the beat the game because there aren't any more missions so now there's just nothing to do. And the game has started taking items out of my inventory and randomly putting them in the sky where I can't reach them. Including one of the crucial items the workbench so now I cant make anything new. I also researched items but then was never able to make those items.

First real game I enjoy.

I've owned a vr set for 3 years now, and this is the first game that I enjoy that has real in-game state and progress. Until this game I did not enjoy other large titles, just the occasional quick stateless game. TY for this.

Something that needs to be addressed...

I've barely played the game as of now because there's a feature that definitely needs attention ASAP.

In the Settings menu under the Input submenu, there's an option to change the player's movement speed which is a very welcome feature. There is a massive problem though:

---

OXYGEN LEVELS DRAIN AT THE SAME SPEED REGARDLESS OF MOVEMENT SPEED. 50% MOVEMENT SPEED LOSES OXYGEN AT THE SAME RATE THAT 150% MOVEMENT SPEED DOES.

---

All caps so the problem doesn't get completely ignored in all this text, but what this means is if the player doesn't feel comfortable with high movement speed and prefers a slower pace like myself, the player is immediately put at a *SEVERE* disadvantage, especially on harder difficulties.

Like I said, this needs to be addressed before I can sink my teeth into this game. I prefer slower movement speed, but feel like I have to play at the highest movement speed or else I can't get very far from my habitats, especially on Survivor difficulty which is what I want to play this game on.

Devs, please tie the oxygen drain to the movement speed setting that is set to keep it fair. Right now the setting is essentially an unnecessary difficulty slider that makes the game brutal.

This is such a severe problem in my mind that if it isn't addressed I will be putting in a refund request. This is Early Access after all, so all feedback that can be beneficial to the experience should be acknowledged. Seems like a cool game that's right up my alley but I simply can't get immersed and enjoy the game with this major set-back.

We are planning on adjusting the difficulty / movement speed options in the future. For now, the rate on which oxygen depletes can be adjusted by using a custom difficulty. We know its not a perfect solution, but it should allow you to fine tune your experience to make it the most enjoyable for you.

Absolutely Amazing

I am completely addicted to this game. I think about it when I'm not on. I try to formulate and prioritize my next move for when I am on. The ambience of being on the red planet alone gives me a level of anxiety I like in a game. It's a masterpiece! Keep making it bigger and better. I suggest hiding caches of money around as well so we get a break from contract flights. They get a little monotonous at times.
