I made this game for my kids, who suddenly got into chess. You can use both controllers to adjust the board's position and size, so it's comfortable to play even while lying down on the couch. Stockfish is built right in — fully offline, no network — and you can change its difficulty in real time. Try a couple of levels and see what fits. The game ships with two piece sets: berries and fruit versus candies. I'd love your reviews — they tell me what to fix next.
More piece sets are on the way — but to unlock each new one, you have to win a game where they play against you. Each set has its own look and feel, so unlocking them is its own little reward, and they'll keep showing up until you've beaten them all.
Every figurine is eager to meet you, so don't be shy — get up close and take a good look :)
My favourite feature is changing the difficulty mid-game — I think teenagers will especially love it. It's the kind of thing that makes chess feel alive, not like homework. Start easy, push higher when you're winning, then push again — no need to start over.
More is on the roadmap, plus a few surprises. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the review in advance — it shapes what I build next.
