ALso this could be great , but it is not yet.
3 dealbreakers:
1 - your background music has too many syncopated fills, and it is not clear if your programming timing is bad, or just hard to understand where the 1 is and where the downbeat is. Please ADD an option to overlay a game metronome pip sound over the soundtrack that we can add or remove so we can feel your games particular rhythm. EIther than or significantly rethink your music… it is not helping the gameplay currently, not aesthetically, not in helping the player learn the game. The visual tempo indicator is not clear enough to overcome this issue.
2- drum sound does not coincide with drum visuals percisely enough. There is a lag which might need a menu slider, and even setup menu.
3 - You absolutely need controls to raise and lower the drum interface. Not everyone drums from the same posture. This is an accessibility issue.
As the title suggests, you smash the drums - excitedly. There are a few bugs here and there as is common with new releases, but nothing major. The game represents a truly fresh and engaging approach in the field of rhythm learning!
It's free to play and the new version has a bunch of new levels.
You have to hit the drums at an exact timing which the game never provides.
