Fun and relaxing as well as adventurous.
Im enjoying this very well i just wished it could be fixed more but I'm rating this 4 🌟s for now
I am going to be honest. Its a decent pet game but that's just because it's like one of the only dog sims on the Quest.
I like the way the dog feels. When you move your hand around it it genuinely feels like a dog. I also like that you have this separate world for ember and in this world you can collect things and then buy cosmetics or mixed reality furniture for your home. It adds a layer of gameplay that keeps bringing you back in.
But with that being said I have to say one thing. The state that this game released in and for the most part is still in is absolutely disgusting. I can understand AAA games releasing with jank and bugs but a pet game with just two levels? One of them being the mixed reality level and the other being a little playground to walk the dog in. Having that much jank and bugs for such a game is just ridiculous. It makes for a much more frustrating experience rather than a relaxing one because you are trying to get the dog to do what you ask of it but it hardly ever does what you want it to because of the bugs. That's why I give it 3 stars.
The game is also in desperate need of a story. At the moment you just get this dog pushed onto you and a few letters saying that you need to take care of it. We could do with a back story to justify who the pet is and where they came from.
Perhaps the devs will fix the bugs and jank and develop a story to go with the game. Maybe then it will be worth 5 stars. But I can't recommend the game in its current state.
The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is intuitive. Great game for a relaxing exploration of this virtual world with an engaging pet.
This is a touching and immersive VR experience that tells the story of a human who crosses paths with a dog — and from that moment, the bond is unbreakable.
You’ll explore a mysterious new world, uncover hidden items, and build a relationship with Ember, your loyal companion. From patting and playing to simply enjoying each other’s company, the connection feels incredibly real thanks to deeply optimized interactions. The way Ember responds to your touch and attention is stunningly lifelike — it’s not just a game, it's a presence you grow to care about.
The transition from mixed reality (MR) to full VR scenes is handled with exceptional creativity, smoothly guiding you between your own space and the game world in a way that enhances emotional immersion.
The developers clearly put their heart into this title and continue to work hard on updates and fresh content. This isn’t just a game — it’s an invitation to adopt a dog in VR and form a genuine bond.
🐾 Adopt your dog in VR. You won’t regret it.
A beautiful, one of a kind experience on quest, worth every penny
