The story mode was really great and definitely worth experiencing it.
This game is a genuine masterpiece, and I absolutely love it! It features an amazing story with exciting sky-high racing and heist stakes, supported by a cast of truly great characters. I especially love listening to Sebulba’s dialogue. It’s a completely polished experience: I encountered no glitches and no motion sickness, and I was even able to adjust the main character’s arms for a more comfortable setup while gaming in bed. All of this makes it one of my personal favorite games.
Should of been a $9.99 game because it is short. I thought I would be racing other people online, but unless I'm missing something you can't do that. I thought I would be racing, getting credits and building better/custom pod racer with more capabilities.
Not a fan of the 3rd person scenes. Just keep me in VR. Pod racing on the virtual table is okay. I get that that helps with rendering speeds.
Buggy mission completion messages. They where so far down, I couldn't even read them.
The ONLY thing I need in a pod racer game is FPV...
This is a technology showcase, not a game. Beyond Victory is a prime example of developers prioritizing a Mixed Reality (MR) gimmick over the essential pillars that made the previous Star Wars VR titles successful — namely, tight pacing, immediate immersion, and clear purpose.
The Fatal Design Regression:
• Technology-First, User-Experience-Last:
The entire structure feels loosely built around the novelty of showcasing MR capabilities. The story, the objectives, and the action sequences appear to be mere afterthoughts—thin scaffolding supporting the tech demo. This approach immediately breaks the sense of urgency and magic we expect from a Star Wars adventure.
• Immersion-Breaking Friction:
Instead of being pulled into a galaxy far, far away, the confusing initial objectives and slow pace feel like mandatory steps to activate the next MR feature. This replaces narrative drive with technical obligation, leading directly to the feeling of being "at a loss as to what to do."
• The Comfort Cost:
My experience of dizziness and discomfort upon making progress is likely tied to this MR focus. When the priority shifts to blending the virtual world with the real one, any technical imperfections or forced movement can quickly lead to disorientation. This is an unacceptable comfort failure for a major franchise VR release.
Verdict:
Not the Sequel Fans Waited For
If you loved the previous Star Wars VR games for their focused action and compelling immersion, be warned: this is not the natural next chapter. It’s a pacing mismatch where the novelty of the technical feat quickly wears off, leaving behind a slow, confusing, and ultimately joyless experience.
This is a tech demonstration with a Star Wars license slapped on. Unless you are only interested in a rudimentary MR showcase, I strongly recommend waiting for a deep sale and significant updates.
Great game i love the idea i guess im not a racer been a month and i still can win the first race
so i guess im done
