This is a really fun bite sized dungeon adventure in a Lego-like world.
The total play time is probably around a half hour but the price reflects that. It’s a great time for less than the cost of a fast food meal that you’d wolf down in five minutes, so it seems mean spirited to knock stars off because of the length of this game.
It runs smooth and the simple interactions get the job done, but the real attraction is the solid art direction. The color palettes, lighting, and environmental design are all top notch. With Walkabout Mini Golf Mighty Coconut proved that you can craft beautiful VR worlds with low poly art and this is another example.
The voice acting is also well done.
The enemy design is an unusual choice but I enjoyed the novelty, and the end boss was pretty cool.
Unfortunately it seems that the developer(s) have left the Quest long ago so it’s unlikely that there will be a full sized sequel. I hope they got snatched up by a games studio and are doing well in the industry.
Right after finishing this I bought Mobile Mischief’s other Quest game, Zombie Gunner. I’m going to jump into that now.
I like the graphics. Combat is not fun -- would be better if made easier. Everything else is just okay. Length seems to be around 20 minutes if fast, or 40 minutes if leisurely.
.
This was a fun little game but to be honest it’s so short it seems more like a pitch for a game than an actual game. I like what there is but there needs to be more.
