Speed One stands out for its excellent free-roaming mode with quests, as well as its efficient and fun arcade gameplay.
In single-player mode, you feel the speed from the very beginning, both in classic circuit racing mode and in quest mode.
Multiplayer adds a competitive dimension, perfect for challenging your friends. The game allows you to play seated, which enhances comfort.
Two views are available: one in arcade mode with a third-person view and control with the controller sticks, and the other, more immersive in VR, with a first-person view and VR control with your hands on the wheel. This mode offers effective and useful rearview mirrors in race mode.
Technically, the fluidity remains good on Quest 3, minimizing nausea and avoiding distractions. Visually, Speed One opts for a clear and readable aesthetic rather than hyperrealism.
A wise choice that prioritizes responsiveness. The lack of ultra-advanced physics is compensated for by immediate fun.
Speed One is one of the few VR racing titles on Quest to deliver punch without compromising on comfort and innovating in its game modes.
As you progress, you unlock new vehicles.
The development team is active and attentive to the community.
CONCLUSION:
Speed One surprises with its fluidity, even on a Quest 2. You can tell the studio focused on instant fun, and it works. It's not a hyper-realistic sim, but honestly, it's a quick blast, without getting overwhelmed.
And in VR, it's nice to have a game that gives the sensation of speed without making you sick. In short, a little arcade gem worth following.
In multiplayer when you finish the race the game crashes and says you finished 7 th. You cannot go back to the lobby or do anything except exit the game completely
I purposely try all the car games on Vr because I simply love car games, I'm not too judgemental especially when a game is still in early Access
So Im not telling you what to do, but wanted you to know that you may have a jewel car game here..its awesome in its early stages.
Many vr games try different approaches and I think your formula is closest to being most fun.. The A.i drivers are Great, I can see the drivers in the car as well 👍 I see the streaks in the road and grass and back lights works lol.
Alot of times it's the small things that gives you a cult following😎.
Not fulfilling every little car enthusiasts desires because as you said in a response your just 1 person. You're definitely Appreciated here, because the car feels good and is in line with the nitro boost..love this😆..think this what made me buy it. #Street life.
Just a Vr game and don't need to add 1000 things like other people suggested.
Slowly implementing little things like working headlights, being able to maybe touch the radio or stick shift would help with immersion, being able to adjust the review mirror and last but not least any graphical enhancements will set this game apart. I deleted many games.. But this will stay in my Library..thank you for such a better quality game.
People wouldn't suggest things if this didn't have the crazy Potential. Wish you luck in your Endeavors ✨

"Speed One" offers an exhilarating VR experience that sets itself apart from many others in its genre. The game's dynamic gameplay, immersive visuals, and well-crafted mechanics make it an absolute joy to play. Whether you're racing through intricate tracks or navigating challenging obstacles, "Speed One" keeps the adrenaline pumping and the fun alive.
One of the standout features is how seamlessly the controls integrate with VR technology, enhancing the sense of immersion and giving players a feeling of true speed and freedom. The graphics are stunning, capturing the vibrant environments and creating a visceral experience that feels like you're truly in the game.
However, my experience with the game's social features has been somewhat mixed. While "Speed One" promises the ability to connect and interact with friends, I found this aspect a bit challenging. It's possible that I'm missing a step or approaching it incorrectly, but the process of syncing with friends felt less intuitive compared to the rest of the game. If this is an area for improvement, a more straightforward or clearly explained system for social interactions would truly elevate the game to perfection.
