It’s exactly what it says… a great VR solitaire game. I’d give it 5 stars except it was frustrating to play for a while until I figured out how to move the board around.
As another reviewer pointed out, just point your controller at one of the “handles” on either side of the playing area and squeeze the grip trigger and you can move the board around to a better viewing position. It is right in your face to start with.
Adding a simple “controls” or “how to play screen” would solve this major problem that i’m sure turns many away if they don’t stumble upon how to do this.
It would also be nice to have other styles such as free cell.
Pass through is a great option when you are somewhere and you still want to be aware of your surroundings…. play is great and it works well.
Point at one of the brown bars on either side. Press both trigger and grip of same controller. Move board as desired then release.
The deck is too near your face and unable to move it, so gave up and removed it!
So I have started winning my games.
The trick is to use the left controller to select and place cards.
Once you go through the deck, just click the blank right deck and the remaining cards will appear.
Keep in mind all games have a critical card play that determines you winning the game.
The selection process can be 'sticky' sometimes and your card or cards can be in weird angles.
Just hover over the card with your left controller, highlight and select.
Enjoy!
Generally a good concept but as other reviewers have pointed out, poorly executed. My biggest gripe is the deck is one size with no ability to shrink or expand, and it’s right up in my face which means i have to position my wrist at an odd angle to interact with the cards. It has promise but needs a lot of work. Shocked that something as simple as solitaire is so hard to get right.
The game mechanics need work. My issues was the drawn card was under my chin (too close to grab) and card pick/place was awkward (better after a little practice). I have other solitaire games that I like better, maybe VR isn’t the medium for me…
