Most smashing games hand you a room full of stuff and leave you to it. SMASH FACTORY gives you a production line.
Two conveyor belts run glassware past your bay - bottles, jars, demijohns, panes, carboys. A shift lasts ninety seconds. Break fast and the combo multiplier climbs; let the line run dry and it resets. When the shift ends the belts refill and the next one starts.
TAKE YOUR PICK
An axe, a baseball bat, a pipe wrench, a hockey stick, a knife - or a pistol, rifle, shotgun and sniper if you would rather shoot the line than swing at it. Whatever you grab becomes your hand.
GRAB AND THROW
Every piece on the belt can be picked up and thrown. Sometimes the most satisfying way to break something is against something else.
FOUR HUNDRED FEET UP
Behind the bay is a door, and behind the door is a shaft. Strap on the jetpack and fly it - height markers count up the walls, ten feet at a time, until you reach the landing at the top.
AND THE ROOMS ABOVE
There is a lounge up there. Sofa, armchairs, bookshelves, lamps, a record player. And a glowing energy blade on a stand. Everything in the room can be cut - properly cut, along the line your blade actually travels, and both halves stay cuttable.
Cut up the bookcase and see what is behind it.
