First time trying a VR, I struggled to even launch the app before getting dizzy and nauseous. I followed advice on YouTube and ate ginger and took frequent breaks etc and I braved the second time. I was finally able to experience exercising and hitting balls in my garage which I could have never done on a real court due to lack of time and funds. I'm very satisfied with Sense arena and truly able to do a real tennis workout and training. If I were a professional player I would be worried that a haptic racket and VR tennis might hurt my real game, but for me there would be no tennis at all, so I love it!
The drills are great and clearly designed by real coaches. The graphics and haptics definitely leave a lot of room improvement.
I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the service I've received from Sense Arena. Despite having canceled my subscription a few days ago, I was surprised to find a charge on my card today. To make matters worse, I was billed for shipping costs, which is perplexing and frustrating considering this service renewal does not require any physical shipment.
Adding to the inconvenience, Sense Arena lacks an in-app cancellation feature, necessitating contact with customer service for subscription issues. However, the customer service experience leaves much to be desired; the response time has not been prompt, and the support lacked the courtesy I expected from a service provider.
Furthermore, the practicality of using Sense Arena is questionable. The requirement of having at least a 4-meter by 4-meter space is a major limitation, as many people do not have access to such large open areas within their homes or outdoors. Additionally, the constant need to configure and reconfigure the boundaries is a tedious process.
Overall, I find myself unable to recommend Sense Arena due to the combined billing, customer service, and usage challenges that have marred my experience. A service should simplify the customer's life, not complicate it, and unfortunately, Sense Arena has not met this standard.
I expect an immediate refund for this oversight.
Improved my game a lot.
I've received a notice of auto-renewal from Sense Arena for this app and I cannot cancel it. I've tried to reach their customer support via email - no response. Phone? No response. They designed their website to make it impossible to cancel online. What kind of company acts like that? Legitimate companies don't do that. Legitimate companies make it possible to cancel subscriptions and auto-renewals (all of them). Legitimate companies get back to people who send them emails and leave messages (by the way, no customer service there, just personal voicemail boxes). Only a company bent on making away with your money acts like that. I'll have to take measures to prevent this and I DON'T RECOMMEND this app and the company behind it. Unless you want to be subscribed for life.
Even though I only used this app for less than a day, I had a great experience with not only using the game but more importantly the support staff. The staff at sense arena have been extremely helpful, and I can't emphasize enough how honest and supportive they really are. Even though I had to get a refund due to personal circumstances, I had an amazing experience with the staff and that is how I know this app and organization will have a bright future. Regarding the app itself, it is more meant to mentally help tennis players improve, and even just using it for a couple hours I was able to see that it would have a big long term impact on someone's mental game. Being able to read and understand the game in tennis is absolutely crucial, and this app is meant to increase the mental capabilites of a player. As a 10 UTR player myself, I do recommend not only this app, but the organization itself. Very very superb service.
I’d like to cancel before the next billing date and I see no way to do so. Support only addresses tech problems. It’s a great app except for this part which seems a little shady.
***Updating my score because customer service was helpful and responsive.
(This app is awesome for people who can benefit from using it. It’s not a game. It’s DEFINITELY meant for serious training. Would be curious about the haptic racket.)
