Brilliant game ..this game could do with a slow mode just walking .but the ideas are new .the graphics on of people could be a lot better . Hopefully with up dates this this could be the best game on oculus 3 .
Has anyone actually gotten past the tutorial
Once you shoot the camera you are just left to run around and do nothing and I can’t return it WTH
Something as essential as turning your camera requires pulling up the settings menu and manually clicking a button to snap once left or once right is OBSURD. Not to mention how I couldn't even get passed the tutorial because of a glitch or something- I was stuck with a siren blaring and having nowhere to go but a tiny ship hallway. *Don't waste your time.*
This game was very fun and colorful and utilized hand tracking well. There is one thing, though it was taking a really long time to load.
Thank you! It was indeed fixed in the locomotion settings. I’m leaving my original review up for awareness but will adjust my rating. I feel like this game could benefit if it had a locomotion comfort option screen on 1st boot up like so many other VR games do. Even more so because the effect is very unique to this game.
The game is fun, unique and addictive. Graphics look great and the hand tracking works flawlessly.
Why the 2 stars?
They way you move in this game is from node to node on a square grid map. Every time you switch nodes the whole screen goes blurry and pixilated until your character is in the new position. This is disorienting and immersion breaking. You would think this wouldn’t be a big deal since the action is all standing in one spot but half of the game is moving from one node to the next. Honestly it’s game breaking for me. Other people might not be as sensitive to it but this is just a warning. Playing on quest 3, I feel like this shouldn’t even be a problem.
If not for that issue the game would easily be 4 stars. Only reason I’m not refunding is because I hope it will be fixed with a patch somewhere down the line.
I find the hand tracking confusing and uncomfortable, the constant spinning around always feels disorientating. I haven't got through the first part, there's this alarm going off, the panic ensues, I'm still trying to figure out how to move and all the wrist things and this alarm is just blaring. I don't know where I'm going or what I'm supposed to be doing, it's frustrating.
