• Unique crafting mechanics allow players to combine almost any items they come across in the environment, enabling them to create weapons on the go. These mechanics have been improved in the Meta Quest version of the game.

• Environmental traps are scattered across large, open locations. These traps, when triggered, can attract hordes of zombies, so players must be cautious to avoid being overwhelmed.

• Procedural barricades and locks force players to find creative ways to enter houses, which may have boarded-up windows or locked doors.

• Diverse enemies: Each zombie type has distinct behaviors and resistances. Armored zombies are tough against firearms, while spiked zombies are best dealt with using long-range weapons to avoid close combat.
