This is a really good fps shooter. Has quake esq. Visuals, some light portal style puzzles, and a decent soundtrack. Definitely worth the price.
The only negative is the frame rate can be a smidge chunky when turning.
Really good game but .please fix the turning it's really juddering it spoils the game. The graphics are not bad could be better .the sounds could be better creepier .and guns could sound better .I would love to give this game five stars 🌟 shame
Quite a nice shooter, reminiscent of Quake but could benefit from some changes to strafing that make it more comfortable.
Im getting nauseous because the strafing comes on suddenly (rather than gradually like other shooters) and seems to trigger fully when the left stick is slightly off centre. This means it can trigger accidentally when trying to move forward, and that difference between what I expect to see and what I actually see then makes me feel a bit squiffy.
For the dev, I would recommend looking at something like Compound and seeing how that does strafing. If its something you still feel is important to your game and dont want to change then maybe consider adding another option to disable strafing completely (much like you've done already for snap turning which is very welcome and useful so thank you for that!).
I’ve been using VR for almost a decade and it’s rare to run across a game that lets you move as fast as a classic first person shooter. I understand the need to keep things tame to minimize motion sickness, but it’s nice to have the option to speed things up for those of us who no longer get VR sickness.
Played with the movement speed cranked all the way up, the blinders off, and using my feet to turn as fast as I want, this game is a blast!
I’ve only played through the first few levels, but in that short time this game has really impressed. It ticks a lot of classic video game boxes.
The game runs smoothly on the Quest 3 and I haven’t run into any glitches yet.
I’d love to see real time lightning and improved effects like shockwaves from explosions, but considering that this game has been out for more than two years and has only a handful of reviews I can’t blame the developers for not putting more hours into this project. (Despite that there was an update just last month and they added the option to disable laser sights.)
What I’ve experienced so far is great fun, provided you’re in the target audience. The target audience are fans of classic games like Doom and Quake.
A recent poor review was from somebody who is apparently not in this target audience so they were extremely disappointed.
The first sentence in the store description reads: “VR meets old school FPS.” If that’s what you’re looking for then you should be very happy.
I’m sure the dev is a nice person and worked hard on this, but this is a big no. Forget the money you spend (and I only spent $1)… it’s the time you can’t get back. It’s just a SIMPLE point and click shooter. And when I say simple, it’s just that. The exploding barrels are also useless since they have a blast range of about 3 inches. The guns aren’t any fun to use, the enemies all die the same, regardless where you hit em…
Maybe if I was brand new to vr this game would seem ok… but there’s about 500 better shooters offered on the quest store.
Fantastic game that deserves more exposure. Environments are nicely designed, graphics are detailed and weapons feel good. The music is fantastic! It's a little on the shorter side and could use a bit more content but overall this is a gem.
One question: I'm really struggling with (what I think is) the final boss. Looked for a discord server for this game but couldn't find one.
Devs, are there any ways to reach out for questions and advice?
