I absolutely love this game. I’ve played Arkham Shadow, Asgard’s Wrath 2, Quantum Void, Into Black and Red Matter 2 and this is my favorite game so far. I wish they’d jump button was just a button though instead of a button with a hand motion because sometimes it doesn’t respond quick enough when I move my arm to jump and sometimes it just jumps by me slightly moving my hand. Other than that this game has been amazing. Thank you. Can’t wait to see what game your company makes next.
So I'm on the area where you need to cross the large bridge and when i open the door theres the doors and some other stuff but nothing else no floor no walls no roof. If i could attach a screenshot here i would.
Listen I LOVE this game, I preordered it as soon as I could but the fact that the devs put a lot of effort into making this title but there’s a bit of bugs, when I say bugs I mean ones that make it unplayable, I’m at this bit where there is like two big statues and in one of the rooms in that area don’t work, so it’s this big arena and the game tells you abt the bombs you can use against enemies, at the end of it there is a charge for your shield you need to throw in this output bit that brings a train thing but gives you enemies but after that nothing back but this thing me no enemies, no train , nothing. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!
Was really enjoying the game. Unfortunately, hit a game breaking bug. Jumped on the rail at one point and now can't progress because the trian car never showed up. I've played for many hours, and I'm not sure how I avoid completely starting over.
Update: Patch didn't address the issue, so I'm forced to start over. It's hard to recommend the game even though it was great until the issue. Who wants to play 80% of a game just to be forced to start over and wonder if it can happen again?
But it's bugged.
Desperately needs a patch to address the multitude of different issues people are facing.
I'm stuck outside the foundry door, have got both fuses ready & the bloody bridge is missing, the two balls reset back in their original position.
It's an impossible jump, can't reach the levitating platform beneath, can't hit the spinning rock either.
I can't progress because of two balls.
Balls.
There's been a distinct lack of strong, narrative based platformers and Reach steps up to fill that gap nicely. Platforming mechanics are excellent - some of the best really, polished and tons of fun, though occasionally unobvious and you might be left staring at a scene scratching your head as to how to proceed. Visuals have a strong, distinct style and are impressive on Quest and the game makes great use of space and scale as you launch through spectacular caverns. I often found my self pausing to look around and enjoy the grandness as I take a moment to catch my breath. Combat is also a plus, with both the bow and shield feeling great individually, though slightly cumbersome in that they can't both be used at the same time since you need two hands for the bow. Unlike some others here, I actually found Reach to be very polished feeling and had almost no bugs or issues preventing progress, but I will fault the game a bit for being too 'samey'. While visually nice, there's little in the way of environmental variety and I never fully felt like I was exploring a formerly populated city as the story would have you believe, but more like a themed obstacle course. All in all though, I had lots of fun and feel Reach deserves more attention than its gotten so far.
