Raze Vol. 1 is a satirical punk rock VR puzzle-platformer where you team up with Raze—a sharp-tongued leader of an underground punk band—who gets zapped into a twisted alternate reality after a freak stage accident involving her guitar pedal and a collapsing amp. Now trapped in a bizarre, influencer-dominated world, you and Raze must work together to escape four surreal, influencer-run environments built to manipulate and control everyone's thoughts, tastes, and ultimately, spending habits.

Armed with a glitching cybernetic arm that adapts to each world—flame, freeze, electricity, tractor beam—you’ll solve brain-bending escape-room puzzles, platform through chaotic landscapes, and crush enemies in immersive VR. Dive directly into Raze’s mind, shifting into first-person to unlock her perspective, or use her damaged eye to reveal hidden clues and subvert traps set by MgaFusion’s corporate influencer overlords.

The game is voiced by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, bringing Raze to life with raw, rebellious energy. The soundtrack features tracks from active punk and alt bands, fueling the action with real noise from the underground.

With a narrative full of satirical bite, genre-blending gameplay, and a heroine who embodies DIY ethos, anti-establishment rage, and pitch-black humor—Raze Vol. 1 is more than a VR game. It’s a playable riot against toxic media, fake personas, and the commodification of rebellion.

Interesting and fun but some issues

First things first I did very much enjoy my time with this game and I definitely bought it just because Lzzy Hale is in it. There are a few things that I would like to see improved/fixed though.

1. The influencer cards that pop up when you first see them really don't last long enough to fully read through. It would be nice to have a way to browse them in game.

2. Maps sometimes lack direction and decent signposting. One of the only maps I got stuck on for a bit was very early in the game and was because one of the sides was a ramp, however because it was on the other side of a fence to a wall and looked very similar I just couldn't tell until I played around jumping in every direction.

3. Arcade mode is bugged. Beating the first set of rounds and getting to level 2 softlocks the game as the next round never starts. You also can't quit and keep your score which is probably why so many of the scores in Arcade mode are very very low.

Overall I did enjoy this game a bunch even if the combat is a bit shallow. The puzzles and platforming itself was fun and the tongue in cheek humour and voice acting was very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to Vol. 2 and hope my issues are addressed.

Budget moss

For $5.99 don't expect too much but its worth it for some clever puzzles, funny voice acting and cool music.

I'm Extremely Biased

This was the first platformer I have played in VR and LOVED it. It's fun, it's funny, and a bit challenging. I will admit... I am (very) biased because I am one of the voices in the game. But hey, it's a fun punk rock platformer that utilizes VR in its fullest.
