It keeps saying I am offline when I am not limiting my playing options.
A great game with some outstanding music that you never see in these kinds of games (theres no ABBA or Rolling Stones here). I like the addition of a bunch of drum modifiers so you can get the timing right for your personal variables.
I genuinely hate to return to this game now having logged several hours of gameplay. a game that is unnecessar punishing +unpolished deserves and unforgiving review.
I just once again watched my hammer just phase through the drums and miss notes botching my combo meter multiple times. One time the combo drum didn't even register, literally ruining my run, and any fun and immersion I had with it.
original review:
"Fun but flawed" 3 stars
The fun factor is huge, I hesitantly recommend this though.
The hit detection is questionable and that is a make or break for a rhythm game. Sometimes I’d see my hammer phase right through a drum, others I just disagreed with the window for error. This is very disheartening, and definitely breaks me from my "flow"
Thing is you have a “boost” that charges up. It would feel more fair if it only docked only a bit. But when you miss it docks the whole charge. This should be a fun little addition, but the amount of times I have it charged up quite a bit and lose it ALL in an instant because you have to hit the drum in a blink of an eye.
Honestly coupled with the issues of hit registration, and the unforgiving nature of the drum runes- this ruins a great deal of the game for me. It just doesn't feel like a fair balance, sapping the fun of the flow.
Honestly if they got rid of the boost mechanic it would be an improvement. Though I think they should keep it, and work on hit registration, and add more forgiveness to when the run passes (it feels like you can hit them earlier than you can late, and that throws off my expectations as I see the notes approach.) They SHOULDN'T make it so you lose the charge if you miss a single note. That is WAY too punishing especially with the balance issues mentioned. They should make it so that if you miss three in a row your charge pauses or has a minor dock. This all or nothing is just awful.
I really hope they make it more forgiving.
I want to like this game more than I do.
Love this game
play it every morning to wake up
feel like a viking rock star...Skal
I bought the Meta Quest 3 months ago, and honestly, Ragnarock alone justifies the purchase. Every time I tell myself “just 20 minutes” or “a few songs,” I end up playing for nearly an hour. It’s pure fun, great music, and an incredible workout—I’m always drenched in sweat and grinning. The Viking theme, the drumming, the rhythm—it all clicks perfectly. The tracks stick in my head for days. Simply one of the best VR rhythm games out there.
I absolutely adore this game and have enjoyed it for many years now. But recently, I realized that we can no longer play any of our paid dlc when offline.
I would love to give this game 5 stars but it feels like I was just robbed since I can no longer play any of my dlcs.... So I hope the devs fix this but until they do this will have to remain as a 1 star review.
