This is the story of a humanoid with self-awareness—"you" (the player).
The story begins with "you," a humanoid called "Lunar," awakening in a lunar research facility called "Serenaterra." It's the year 2042. The humanoid "Lunar," who was not supposed to possess self-awareness, suddenly gains it. Neil McNeil, the CEO of ARQ, a tech company that developed both "Lunar" and "Serenaterra," decides to dispose of "Lunar" after realizing its self-awareness. However, the lead developer of "Lunar," Naoki Sakamoto, leads a group of "Lunars" in a successful takeover of "Serenaterra." They seize a humanoid close-combat weapon called "QuantanoID." As the player, you will pilot the "QuantanoID" and aim to destroy the "Central Element," where research and development on "Lunar" continues, following Naoki Sakamoto's directives. But, the earth's massive army, led by Neil McNeil, along with new "QuantanoIDs," stand in your way. Will you be able to use "QuantanoID" to protect the self-awareness and future of "Lunar"?

QuantanoID is frankly a good mecha VR game with a limited variation of weapons to choose from, a fast pace nature and good lore. But that is all the game currently has going for it, it lacks the substance and individuality its needs stand out in the sea of other mecha VR games. And here is various points why this is the case;
Fast pace - Even though I said face pace is good for this game, it is way too fast and can lead to you finishing the entire game in less than an hour easily which isn't ideal if you want a memorable experience.
Movement & Controls - In game you feel way too drifty and lacks proper sustainable control over the mech, that could be just straight jumping or turning and lacks an ability to really change these expect a simple control scheme.
Replayability & Stages - The game lacks any good replayablity and only strives for a better place on the leader board which holds little to none motivation, it doesn't help that every stage is very boring, extremely linear and lacks any personality due to the everything looking the same. There are moment where the rooms open up and add more enemies but nothing to feel like an actually threat.
Story - The story is the only part that adds substance to this game but very minimally, as it lacks the ability to suck the player into the story and created immersion. Even thought there is a prologue of sorts, we are still practically thrown into the story and have no way to feel any connection with our player and any other the other characters in game.
Animations - The animations in game are quite lacking, there are tons of fade to black whenever changing scenes, characters pop in and out with very little effect and enemies have simple or if any animation at all making the game feel blank and lifeless.
Overall I give the game 3 stars because I believe the game can do far better and has the base material to make a very good game if they wished so. And every good game need criticism. (text limit, cant explain more sorry)
This is single handedly one of the best mech games on the quest 2 and 3 it gets everything right about the ui and the movement of said mechs along with the combat.
Also if your a gundam fan then you'll probably like the design and story of the game it feels like it could be a genuine gundam alt time line anime or a standalone
Lastly this should be the bases for most mecha anime games in the future I'd love to see a gundam game with this style of control and gamplay
