I wanted a quest 2 for a few months now after playing this game on my brother’s head set. I finally caved it bought it and am literally so addicted that I drain the entire battery of my vr set just playing this for hours. I love music and play guitar but wanted to get the musical expression of drums out of my system. The lessons are basic but made me good enough to play most songs on easy and medium. Downloading custom songs is a necessity once you’ve finished the tutorial, but now that I’ve done that, I’m so addicted to this game it’s crazy. I live in an apartment so can’t buy my own drums but this for sure seems to be the next best thing. 10/10 game.
I was so excited to play this game and it won’t launch. I’ve left my headset on for over an hour and it still didn’t launch the game. Disappointing.
The A7X DLC I purchased won’t appear on the song list, and no searches on the internet have yielded ANY result. Paid 11.99 for it, can’t refund and can’t play. So tell me how to fix it PLEASE.
Firstly this is an edited review as originally I was having a technical issue, but a developer immediately got in touch and resolved it via email. Absolutely brilliant customer care!
The game itself - well, this is 'a game' and if you buy it for that purpose then I really can't fault it. It is very much like Guitar Hero in that respect. However, I bought this hoping to learn and, well, it falls short really. I began lessons and was disappointed to find only 10 or 11 very basic lessons which were really quite random styles and would not aid development much. The songs section is ok, but only accommodate one type of hi-hat. I imagine this will be different when you transfer in your own song files.
The trouble is - this is definitely a harder way of learning than just watching say a youtube tutorial. It's a faff to try and follow along and the note bar style doesn't get around this issue.
The idea is really fantastic - putting the VR drums over my E-kit was a real 'wow' moment. This definitely has massive potential.
This is the option if you are a metal head, not like other drums apps where there’s only 2 Metallica songs, you can play any song you like, PANTERA, SEPULTURA any of them
We needed this more than you think
Graphics, style and features come excellent, but drum play latency is way too high even with all graphics fx turned off which unfortunately spoils the whole concept.
For example virtuoso app does not look as beautiful as paradiddle but has much lower latency making playing a VR drum set on Quest 3 much more responsive to be used as a serious virtual instrument.
Dear devs, please improve paraddidle's latency, then 5 stars shall be yours.
