It's really fun, and once you reach a certain difficulty level, you burn a decent amount of calories. It's also fun to play with friends as an Party Game.
*PLEASE* DO NOT BUY THIS! Buy competitors who give us agency instead of using our spatial data against us. For my 'safety' the mixed reality mode will not let me face in the direction I know is safe in my playspace, instead enforcing its best guess on what direction *it* thinks is safer. My options are 're-center' (to one of several dangerous angles that would have me hit furniture) or switch back to VR mode (which will let me face the safe direction.). No other MR/exercise/rhythm game i've played has enforced its guesses about my space over my *knowledge* of my space. It would be terrible for MR if this was to become common. - giving these developers money for their paternalism is hurting MRs future, PLEASE DON'T. edit: More specifically, it latches on to what it sees as a wall - even in stationary mode, even if that wall is on the other side of furniture, and will ignore any playspace you mark out. Bear in mind this is a passthrough game, not an interactive one - and even interactive true MR usually does gives more freedom than this. Hell even most early access ones do.
All good in this app, but I would add better environments, and better music. Also, the shadow needs some work.
I have never been more frustrated with a game in my life. OhShape is supposed to be a fun, relaxing experience, but it has been the exact opposite. I ran into issues during the tutorial, and when I needed to reset it, I found that there is NO option to do so—none! I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, thinking that would help, but it didn’t reset anything.
Worse yet, there’s absolutely no clear way to contact support or fix this problem. The lack of a simple, user-friendly solution for something as basic as resetting a tutorial is completely unacceptable. Games should be accessible and intuitive, not a source of stress and anger.
If you’re thinking about buying this game, don’t. Unless they fix these glaring issues and make their support team accessible, I cannot recommend OhShape to anyone. This game has been nothing but a waste of time and energy.
It's actually a decent cardio workout, but I feel like it says I did move wrongs when I'm doing the right thing (it seems like it has my height wrong or something). And when I complete a song it will only give 2 or 3 stars of 5 when I do get most of the correct moves. Neither are a big deal, I just don't like the sound it makes at me for "errors"
I had a great time with this. Surprisingly tiring but very very fun!
