Really good game. 5 stars. Very well done. Just like real thing putting is tricky but I’m getting better at it. 400 foot drives down hill with draw or fade. It’s got it all
I have tried almost all of the Disc Golf games for Meta Quest and I feel that this one is the BEST!
I base my opinion on realistic disc flight and, almost as important, the feeling of being on an actual disc golf course. The flight of the mid range and driver discs are virtually perfect. I like the putting practice basket along with the practice driving range just below it.
It seems like the developers haven't made any changes or updates for a while now and that's OK as long as they have not abandoned the project. I really have no criticism of the game play as a whole. The fact that you can 'warp' to your next shot OR just walk using the joystick is excellent. If I was in a huge empty park I believe I could physically walk it as well.
If the dev's are still thinking of adding to the game, the only improvement I can think of is to allow the end user to 'calibrate' the way they putt. This is only needed on the "realistic" setting. I personally find that the putter flies a bit too high and far based on the way I throw in real life. I don't know if it is something that could be added or user calibrated since I'm not a programmer. In my head I see that a person would go into a putt calibration mode and then adjust where they figure the disc height and distance would end up, in real life, based on a number of throws from a fixed distance. Then have another fixed distance to throw from and calibrate again. Possibly 30 feet away, then 20 feet and finally further away like 50 feet. I'm just throwing it out there (pardon the pun).
Regardless, this is a MUST HAVE for any disc golfer that wants to play during not so favourable weather or just wants to play something that's almost identical to real life disc golf.
Thank you for such a 'true to life' simulation of my favourite sport.
I have several VR Disk Golf games for Steam VR and have always been a fan of the disk golf on Sports Champions for PS3, and this one works very well. Something I’d really like though, would be a night mode. Sometimes I play games like this at night, so I’d like the environment to match. Blue night under moonlight, and to take it to the next level, have glow disks of all different neon luminous colors. Now that would really be cool when I play this at night. I should really be paid for some of these suggestions…
Not a good game. Discs do not fly right and options for disc are none existent. Dont waste money.
I'm an avid disc golfer and in my opinion this does a pretty good job of simulating the game. The putting is the one part i feel needs improving tough, I'm constantly throwing like 70-100 feet way over the basket with a putter putting the way i would in real life for a c1 putt. My biggest suggestion is to immediately turn off the second grip button in the settings. It's very difficult to grip the controller firm enough when throwing without squeezing that button accidentally and it constantly messes up your throw. First hole after I disabled it I smashed an Ace.
I really enjoy this game. I'm not a gamer, but this is fun. I am curious what each button does. For example, what does the "Free Mode" button do?
