I play disc golf and this is amazing! The game is incredible and has so much more potential. I hope to see it keep getting updates!! Absolutely a five star for the price and quality, an absolute steal. Creators or dev. team definitely put some genuine disc golf knowledge and love into this. The multiplayer has given me no issues, and navigating the menus is incredibly simple. Can’t stress enough navigating the menu and buying/building bags is fun and intuitive. Sorry for the lengthy review, but I would love to see this game get more attention. More updates please, more everything! Not criticizing just hurry it up!! Oh and the forehand is tricky as lleh< small critique that’s it folks!
If this game is meant to be a full-on simulation of disc golf, then it fails horribly. Physics are incredibly bad, the hand angle and release point almost feel random, disc numbers do not fly the way they are labled, and when putting, either you throw it 5' for 300' its almost impossible to make puts over 10' away. Forehand throws need fixing. They come out as a tomahawk, or go 90'.
If this isn't meant to be a simulation style game, then you can look past most of the major issues.
I love the game but a few things irritate me to the max. Out of bounds boundaries, way too tight in some situations and hard to control distance that well to be that tight. Secondly the teleport button being the button to turn with, it so easily triggers while setting up my throws. Other than those things, it's a very fun and entertaining game
Really well done (and as far as I know the ONLY one) disc golf game!
There are lots of courses and discs to unlock, but what really makes the game is the 100% correct and accurate physics.
If you are good at the actual Disc Golf you'll be good at this.
If not, you soon will be! Frustrating at first but after a while the pleasure of seeing it float perfectly straight into the basket cant be beat!
Good discord community
This is what VR was made for, very immersive and great fun with up to 4 friends.
A few bugs but remember this is still in the app lab, so thats expected. Still a must buy!
Come on man! Super stoked to have a disc golf game and this is what we produce?? Just like every other IRL Disc golfer this is a joke, I’ve played about 36 holes and changed all my settings to attempt a feel for the game. With a flick of my wrist my putter goes 120+ feet? Not a thing btw. How about you guys crawl out of your parents basement, go to a disc golf course (yes it’s outside) and observe the actual game your simulating! As a avid bowler as well the simulations from the bowling games are far superior and I imagine the coding for hand position, strength/speed and variable release positions are very similar. Call them up and learn how to code a game for sports correctly. No wonder you got zero actual disc golf sponsors…
My initial review was not positive. Like the opinion of most IRL discgolfers this game does not deliver as a real world replacement. However, after having downloaded and tried this again I think it does a fine virtual job.
My tip: If you are thinking you can bring your real world throw to this your wrong - try throwing the disc out in front of you like a putt using a static stance and facing your goal. Use a sort of granny push putt and use your wrist to spin the disc out. Your arm speed and wrist flick will determine distance and angle.
