Give me my money back
A neat and fast exercise game with fun visuals and good soundtrack. Absolutely recommend to people looking for something they can quickly boot up and play.
Very fun game, but only around 1-2 hr of content. Compared to TOFT, it has better slipping/dodging, and training mode. But it's lacking in movement without roomscale and tracking isn't as good, especially for hooks. Also would love some customization, e.g. disable arcade aspects, increase time per round, time between rounds, number of rounds, ...
Gameplay rewards placement more than speed of punches. Each of the fighters has a very different style, which makes it a bit more interesting.
Short (less than 1 minutes) rounds by default.
Graphics (especially animations) are stylized and much better than thrill of the fight. Much more approachable for people outside the usual boxing demographic.
Game at least attempts to teach you how to box.
One big flaw is that blocking feels inconsistent against some fighters, but not all. Frustrating because it would be a 10/10 game without this issue. The huge guy is the worst for this.
I love the graphics and the playability of this game. It can get super intense during a match so it’s also a good workout. They are some bugs here and there but totally worth checking out if you’re looking for a boxing type game.
The game is super fun, but if you’re looking for a simulator like TOTF, this is not it. This is a boxing-inspired game. For example, characters have powers and I don’t think punching harder/faster makes any difference, it’s more about placing your combos. There are also gloves that you unlock for extra power or speed.
One negative is that there’s no mixed reality for Quest 2, which is a huge issue for a boxing game (if I get fully immersed in the gameplay I’ll end up punching a wall). That limits my movement a lot.
The game seems well finished (which is very rare for VR titles), has nice graphics, no obvious bugs, good soundtrack, different opponents with different fight styles and skills, minigames and challenges that make it more fun, great visuals (opponents look very cool, decent AI, etc.
Again, it’s not a boxing simulator, but it is definitely fun and a great workout.
