Have spoken with the devs since this review, and they are updating the hand tracking shortly, along with a few other things. Fingers crossed 🤞 game has great potential.
I can see this having great potential, but the hand tracking is just way of you can’t get around the track without having to completely cross over your arms and losing your driving line.
Needs at the very least some kind of leaderboard fastest time lap, and currently there is nothing to make you want to play it it single player.
I know it’s in early access but at £9.99 it’s not worth its price tag in this current state, I won’t be refunding but please at least sort out the hand tracking
Also the speed of the cars are very slow and not quite up to the “speed” thrill of other racers like VRider SBK
However I can see huge potential
MotorsportVR offers a solid and satisfying VR racing experience right from the start. The user interface is clean, the sense of speed is engaging, and the braking feels impressively realistic. It’s still in Early Access, but already shows huge promise—with multiplayer and more tracks hopefully just around the corner.
Racing games are still rare in VR, and this one hits the track with confidence. It reminded me of a VR version of Forza, indie-style. If the studio keeps iterating based on feedback, this could grow into one of the most enjoyable and complete VR racers available.
If you love cars and want that rush of racing in full immersion—MotorsportVR is worth keeping your eye on. 🏎️💨
From the moment I started playing I can see huge potential in this game.
The car feels nice to drive and the graphics for a standalone vr game is very good.
The steering in the game is good but when taking corners your wheel becomes wonky needing you to ungrip it for it to become straight again.
The reason Ive put only three stars is because there’s a few bugs that made by experience worse. But obviously there’s bugs so hopefully my option changes in the future
But overall the graphics are great and the car feel nice to drive. This game has the potential to be one of the great racing games on the Vr.
