If you want a cricket game where you want to hit some four and six, you can give it a try.
Lot of improvements can be made. And options are limited.
So this is more like alpha or pre alpha build. The graphics are below par and the gameplay is very rudimentary and unpolished. The bowler runs up from near the boundary taking around 6-7 seconds for every delivery which is way behind crease.
The ball is super sized and bouncy and many bounce over your head and you need to hit it like a tennis serve. The commentary is same every ball. There are tracking issues galore to making it near unplayable.
Batting is basic but at least you can make contact which is decent enough feel. But quite easy to hit 4s and 6s. However spinners are out of control with Shane warne ball of century every ball. Fielders are kinda not yet developed and spelling mistakes like “pichmap”. Many things don’t exist and while game is free you want something developed and fun.
Maybe this game will grow. Let’s see. Giving 3 stars as benefit of the doubt for now. But this game will amuse you for some of the things like setting 150 target in 10 overs meaning you need to start smashing every ball like it’s home run derby.
Alright, I wanted to buy IB cricket and it felt costly and thus I looked for free options and MetaCricket was one of many cricket games I downloaded(including Final overs free trial) and I can confidently claim that this was the best! I have been playing this everyday ever since and the playing experience, the way the ball comes in, the way the controllers feel when you connect the ball is excellent. It's not all sugar though, there are moments when the bat tracking goes off and the bat just sticks to the ground and there is no way you can recover from there but to quit the game and open(you lose progress). Also, I feel it is time the game developers open other segments like a career mode, play with AI etc, that would make this game feel like an excellent deal. I bought IB cricket with the greed of playing with different teams and to rectify the tracking issue, but honestly though IB cricket has very few tracking errors, Meta cricket is a better deal in terms of feel of the stroke, it feels like you have hit a real ball. The developers have done an excellent job, keep up you guys! Cheers!!
I love the game would love to get multiplayer or play with AI
Its fun as of now
Any chance of getting bowling with some hand gestures?
Good game
