I really like MarineVerse.
The physics of sailing is great!
I´m a skipper and sometimes sail regattas, therefore for me it is perfect training when I am not at the sea.
I always loved the water, although I can’t swim. I am recovering from surgery and limited right now to the time and what I can do physically. I love all sports.
MarineVerse allows me to simulate sailing on the waters. A sport that I enjoy but can’t accomplish now due to physical limits. How great is that! MarineVerse does what it says it accomplishes, true sailing and in different locations and types sailing vessels. I also, recommend the Kayaking app from MarineVerse. In its early stages, it is very relaxing and fun.
Keep up the great work on these very uniqueapps.
I am an infrequent sailor and I always like to brush up on my knowledge before I go on a trip. This is so much better than just reading and taking tests. Getting a chance to actually practice as much as I want before the next adventure is amazing! I’m a visual learner too so it’s really so helpful. Awesome job!!
My partner and I are learning to sail to buy a boat and sail around the world (eventually). This game has helped massively (especially when combined with our RYA day skipper qualifications and volunteering on folks boats for the day). Love it, a really practical cool way to access and learn about sailing! 😍
Overall, I like the idea of this app and there is a great community behind it.
However, my experience feels a bit strange. Every boat movement seems way too fast. For example, going backwards on a yacht at 1-2 knots feels way too fast (but I have no maneuverability at slower speeds). Another example is that my dinghy shoots across the ocean like a Porsche at only 10 knots of wind. What is wrong here?
That so sad, because I bought the Quest 3 for this app! I hope that this is just a small bug.
I am a keen Hobie sailor and the catamaran model (which I had to pay to test) sails like a dingy that looks like a cat. Very disappointing. The rest kept me interested for about an hour. The user experience implementation makes it frustrating to use. Glad to see an attempt at VR Sailing.
