The performance is very poor despite the simplistic graphics. Even with the graphics quality set to low, it frequently stutters running on the Quest 3.
It lists roomscale support but it doesn’t support crouching, you must use the crouch button to go under obstacles. Also on moving platforms it locks you in place. It feels as if it was only tested while sitting in a chair.
Despite these and other technical issues I was having a bit of fun solving the puzzles until I was unable to continue due to the broken save system.
The first time I tried to load a save it put me beyond the boundary of the building. I was far away, embedded in the scenery and unable to move.
I tried starting over from the beginning. This time when I quit the game it didn’t even save.
This game was released far too early. The performance is poor, it doesn’t really support roomscale, and the save system is broken.
If you don’t mind playing seated, a sluggish frame rate, and plan to sit and play through the entire game in one session, it might be worth the money.
On chapter two a ran into a bug and I cannot finish the chapter the big safe will not let me put the code into it
The game mechanics are very creative, though the game is not very long.
It's an escape room game. I like how it saves your place exactly! It's cool to play this little garage band sized game.
My top suggestion to the devs is to improve the footstep sounds. Have multiple sounds for carpet, floor etc.... Multiple sounds for crawling and walking. I want to hear some creaking floorboards. Easy to do and can add lots of immersion.
I've been having fun with this, but I ran into an issue that's left me unable to progress. I took a break after starting the second chapter, and now the game spawns me outside of the room. Resetting my progress didn't help. Up to this point I've loved the game, but now it's dead in the water for me.
Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the game last night (before I saw the response here), and finished Chapter 2. Score is updated accordingly. I thought everything was really fun and logical. Can't wait for more!
Good physics interactions, but some puzzle steps are relatively hard. Spooky atmosphere.
