Great!

I was intrigued with this one, and enjoyed it enough when I was about 20 minutes in... but I'd started in too small of a room, so I need to try again. My kid, however, had a go (in a large room) and loved it, and came back for more. I enjoyed experiencing it with him by casting to the TV. There's a few not so logical control issues and conflicts of a lot of stuff going on in the room, combined with things not lining up with the room scan, but it's not ruining it at all. Recommended.

We're very curious about what you mean about "things not lining up with the room scan" -- this sounds like it could be a device issue. Would you mind sending a video or description to us by email (support@thoughtfish.de) or our Discord channel (https://www.discord.gg/az7bCEF8NF) so we can help diagnose the issue? We'd also love to hear more about your ideas for controls - perhaps it's something we can address in a future update. In the meantime you can also try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the room scan issue:

1. Restart your device - sometimes a quick reboot can fix many issues.
2. Ensure both your device and the game are fully updated to the latest versions.
3. Confirm device compatibility - Living Room is currently supported on Meta Quest 2, 3 and 3S.
4. Delete & redo the Space Setup to ensure your room is properly set up: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/463504908043519/ (Please ensure the room is well lit, both when redoing the Space Setup and playing the game!)
5. Try starting a new game or loading a different save to see if the issue persists there.

Onboarding needs to chill out

It takes too long to finish the tutorial of the game- just let me play the darn thing.

I want to play with my daughter but I dont think it allows for shared experiences?

Either way- just let us download, install and make islands. I dont want to have to teach my 6 y/o daughter about resource management.

Hey Matbee! Just wanted to let you know that we took your feedback into account, and have updated the game so that Creative Mode is now unlocked from the start of the game. We did this change in part because of your direct feedback, so thank you! However if you really want to learn how to play the game, we recommend following the onboarding tutorial which is accessible through Normal Mode. Otherwise, in Creative Mode, gameplay tips can be accessed by opening the Settings book and clicking "Show Tips". The Settings book can be opened by taking it from the shelf, or by pressing the menu button on the left controller. Please let us know what you think of the update. We hope that this will help change your experience and enjoyment of the game. 😊

10/04/2025 - Troubleshooting steps:

Hi Jack, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble moving the islands. We'd love to help you get things working as intended!

Normally, when you hover your controller around the edges of/slightly into the island, you should see repositioning handles pop up which you can grab to adjust your island - both horizontally and vertically. If for some reason you can't reach the sides of the island, there is a "Return Islands and Room Decorations to Books" button inside the Settings Book that allows you to position your islands from the Island Book after.

If this does not work, there may be an issue with the device setup or controls. Here are a few steps to try:

1. Check the controls you are using to move. Make sure you're using the grip buttons when trying to move objects. If you're unsure of the controls, check the in-game tutorial or Settings menu for control layout.

2. Try restarting your device - sometimes a quick reboot can fix controller sync or tracking issues.

3. Ensure both your device and the game are fully updated to the latest versions.

4. Check the Space Setup to ensure your boundary is properly set up and your controllers are fully visible to the tracking sensors: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/463504908043519/

5. Try starting a new game or loading a different save to see if the issue persists there.

Thank you so much for your review! Inside the Settings book on your bookshelf, there is a "Return Islands and Room Decorations to Books" button. Honestly wish there wasn’t a plant cap

Love this game I play it almost everyday but I wish there wasent a plant/animal cap so I can spawn alot of things and actually make a forest even if it lagged I would still be happy! Can you atleast create a setting for that for the people that don’t care about the lag. Also can you make it so you can attach islands together?

Hi GalaxyWimper! Thanks for your feedback :) Merging islans is definitely a fun idea and we'll be sure to explore this possibility when we begin planning for future updates!

As for the plant/animal limit, per the chat we had in Discord, we want to make sure that all users regardless of hardware can enjoy the best game quality possible - and because some users are on earlier hardware versions (like the Quest 2), we want to minimize any chance of frame drops or a dip in performance. That said, including an "at your own risk" toggle allowing you to place more than the set limit of plants and animals is a fun idea and something that is also under consideration for the future.
