I just got this game last night but I was excited to get a dance in this morning! It’s really fun. And doable.
I'm a big fan of LesMills Bodycombat, which I have been using for a long time. The Dance app is different; it's lighter cardio and much more difficult to master. But I like it, especially because it forces me to use the legs more intensively. Given the limitation of the VR set, which only tracks the position of the head and the hands, I think that the trainers and app developers did a great job at guiding the player through the dance moves. I doubt I'll ever be able to actually use the moves on a real dance floor, but playing the app is a fun mild cardio activity.
As other users pointed out, it's a bit annoying that I can't just hit replay at the end of a dance, so I don't have to wait for the app to load again, but I can live with it. Also, the app is 15GB, so if you're short on storage space, that may be a problem.
I’ve been using the game for a short time and don’t yet have a final opinion. There’s definitely progress, good physical effort, sweat, and fatigue — which I like.
However, I really dislike that after every song, you have to return to the main menu and start over. The game is quite heavy and loads very slowly, which breaks the rhythm. Standing in the dark, waiting while the game keeps loading… it really ruins the flow.
It would be great to have a “repeat” or “replay” button after finishing a track, so you could immediately play it again without going back to the main menu. That would make the experience much smoother and save time.
Other users pointed this out over a year ago, but unfortunately, the developers haven’t done anything to improve this.
It would also be great to have an option to set a daily calorie goal and then track your progress. The calorie tracking system still feels unclear to me.
I want to love this but the game is not loading
I purchased this game a couple weeks ago. The first few times I used the app, everything worked perfectly! However every single time after that, the instructor just freezes up and all I can see is the circles moving which I am supposed to follow and I can hear the instructor voice but the character remains frozen. It is impossible for me to learn the steps if I am unable to see the instructor performing the moves?
but unfortunately it's hard to get into the flow and that's because the coach's voice is louder than the music and I can't get into the flow. I will give 5 stars if you could turn the coach's voice down/louder or turn it off completely.
Overall, its a nice Workout App with good graphics and you even get some dance skills.
